Anomaly Class: Euclid/Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4751 is to be sealed off from any large population of human subjects, by at least 100 miles, and at least 6 miles underground in a 20 by 20-foot box, 10 inches in width, made of solid titanium. The box is to be moved each year by D-class personal using the Facility tunnel, which is to be evacuated a minimum of 5 days before. D-class personal are instructed, not to try opening the box at any point, and if done, they will be terminated instantly by armed turrets hanging from the ceiling of the tunnel. ANY TESTING IS PROHIBITED BY ALL MEANS.

Description: due to the anomalous effect of SCP-4751, no physical description is to be made at any time, NO EXCEPTIONS. The anomalous effect of SCP-4751 takes place after 4 – 6 hours of interaction with the item, whether it would be a drawing, photograph, video or verbal description.

After a subject has made contact or is aware of exactly what SCP-4751 is, subjects will begin to remember everything with less awareness than non-affected subjects. After the 4 – 6 hours has passed, subjects will begin to remember the memory of when they were made aware of what SCP-4751 is, becoming exponentially stronger. After 7 – 8 hours of awareness, subjects will begin to resemble dementia patients, not being able to remember other memories clearer. 10 – 12 hours of exposure to SCP-4751, subjects will begin to forget basic motor functions, their mental capacity is also shown to be greatly decreased from non-affected subjects. After the 10 – 12 time has expired, the subject will be considered mentally brain-dead, as they don’t know any form of movement, thought, and speech. Still some subjects have shown sudden bursts of intelligence, and in these brief moments, the subjects usually plead for death, destruction of SCP-4751 at all costs, for personal to “forget” and some try to describe SCP-4751 to any people near them. The subject dies after 15 hours, with no exceptions at the time of writing.

It is theorized that SCP-4751 is a memory altering anomaly, and that once the subjects have a memory of anything describing SCP-4751, that memory will begin to erase other memories that afflicted subjects have. This leads to the subject forgetting everything over a span of 15 hours, eventually getting the subject to forget to breath, leading to death. This has led to that SCP-4751 is seen as highly dangerous, but easily containable in the right hands as SCP-4751 needs memories to spread.
