Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4XXX and any surrounding area thought to have the same properties as it, see addendum SCP-4XXX-P, are to be closed indefinitely for “renovations”. All entrances and exits to SCP-4XXX are to be sealed off and put under constant watch using CCTV monitoring or any other suitable measure of visual surveillance. Under no circumstances is anyone outside of the foundation allowed to enter SCP-4XXX. Due to the location of SCP-4XXX-2, no containment is currently necessary for the site.

Description: SCP-4XXX is a 494 sq ft apartment located on the 21st floor of the ██████ apartment complex in ████, India. The room was built as part of an expansion to the apartment in 2006 and is identical to all other rooms on the floor. However, SCP-X(and possible other apartments, see addendum SCP-4XXX-P) has the unique property in that any object dropped on the floor of SCP-4XXX that is not under direct visual observation will be instantaneously be transported to SCP-4XXX-2. The anomaly first came to the foundation’s attention in 20██, when the then current occupants began complaining of missing office supplies that “simply vanished into nothing” after falling off of the room’s desks. The room was confiscated by the foundation on December ██, 20██ when one of the occupants lost their phone inside of SCP-4XXX and any subsequent attempts to call the phone resulted in an direct-to-voicemail message. Since then all previous occupants of SCP-4XXX have been given level-I amnesiacs and the room has been permanently closed. A list of tests on SCP-4XXX can be found below.

Test Log

Test 01

Description: A 3 cm glass paperweight dropped directly on to the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Method of Observation: None.

Result: No evidence of the paperweight was found nor was any sound of shattering glass recorded.

Test 02

Description: An identical 3 cm glass paperweight dropped on to a sheet of paper on the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Method of Observation: None.

Result: Audible sound of glass breaking. Piece of broken glass found on the paper, however no glass was found on the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Test 03

Description: A 5cm rubber ball thrown at all 4 walls and ceiling of SCP-4XXX.

Method of Observation: None.

Result: Rubber ball audibly bounces off of all 4 walls and ceiling and left visible imprints on the surfaces.

Test 04

Description: A 3cm glass paperweight dropped directly on to the floor.

Method of Observation: Observed directly by the blind Dr.████████.

Result: Dr.████████ reports hearing an audible breaking sound and feelings bits of glass land on her shoes. Shards of glass were found on the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Test 05

Description: A 6 cm bright yellow ball dropped directly on the floor directly.

Method of Observation: Observed by Dr.████ outside of the room using a set of mirrors.

Result: Dr.████ reports seeing the ball bounce repeatedly on the floor of SCP-4XXX, however upon looking down at his notes to write down the observations Dr.████ reports the sound of the ball suddenly stopping. Visible imprints of the ball were later found inside SCP-4XXX, but no ball could be found in the room.

Test 06

Description: An identical 6 cm ball dropped on the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Method of Observation: Observed by Dr.████ using CCTV monitoring cameras.

Result: Dr.████ reports seeing the ball bounce on the floor of SCP-4XXX and continued to watch until the ball stopped bouncing. The ball was found motionless on the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Test 07

Description: A Panasonic live-update camera dropped on the floor of SCP-4XXX, video streamed to Dr.█████ in the adjacent room.

Method of Observation: None.

Result: No sound of camera hitting the floor was recorded. However the camera's live stream continued to show live video of a room physically identical to SCP-4XXX. However the floor of this room, now designated as SCP-4XXX-2¹, was littered with dozens of office supplies, one Apple iPhone X, one Louis Vuitton purse, one yellow ball, multiple broken glass paperweights, and multiple other small items. No evidence of the camera could be found in SCP-4XXX

Test 08

Description: A SpyTec live-update GPS tracker dropped on the floor, coordinates streamed to Dr.█████ in the adjacent room.

Method of Observation: None.

Result: No sound of the locator hitting the floor war reloaded. At the time of estimated impact the coordinates updated to ██.███', ██.███' , approximately ████ kilometers away from SCP-4XXX in a site now designated as SCP-4XXX-2. No evidence of the GPS tracker could be found in SCP-4XXX.

Test 09

Description: A 14 kg Canis lupus familiaris dropped directly on to the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Method of Observation: None.

Result: Test Rejected by the Ethics Commitee.

Test 10

Description:A 14 kg Canis lupus familiaris outfitted with a Panasonic real-time camera and SpyTech real-time GPS tracker dropped directly on the floor of SCP-4XXX.

Method of Observation: None.

Result: Test Pending Approval.

Addendum SCP-4XXX-P

On May the ██, 20██, a woman living on the 20th floor of the ██████ building 
called the local law enforcement at 10:48 AM to report a robbery. Multiple 
items from her apartment were missing, yet no signs of a break-in could be 
found nor was anyone seen entering or exiting the room at the alleged time of
the crime. The SCP Foundation was able to move in and provide a cover up 
story and the occupant was soon relocated. Due to this, members of the 
foundation should also keep watch of other apartments in the ██████ complex 
for similar anomalous properties.
