Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Containment of SCP-XXXX is difficult, due to it's nature of spreading to those who care about the host, but hiding or quieting the death of a host of SCP-XXXX is recommended and mostly effective, but only if the host dies before operation Uran-Kuolema 1-4 can be executed.

Hosts of SCP-XXXX are found by the foundation after a person of interest shows signs of mental diseases, and is thoroughly questioned. Confirmed hosts have their memories erased, and operation U-K is begun.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a mental condition given to a chosen host by SCP-XXXX-1, which makes the host attempt to become well renowned and adored by as many people as humanly possible. People who grow fond of the host of SCP-XXXX, upon learning of the death of the host, develop a mental condition known as SCP-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a series of amorphous, black entities, who specifically target intelligent and creative children, in order to make them a carrier of SCP-XXXX. These entities monitor and control the mental progress of a potential host, and decide whether or not to make them an actual host. Potential hosts who are not chosen cannot still see SCP-XXXX-1. The process for which hosts are chosen and which are not is not currently understood, yet there is a moderate amount of consistency in the people who are chosen in terms of background and race. Although the exact number of SCP-XXXX-1 is not known, It is estimated that between ███,███ and █,███,███ exist, with the number increasing at an unknown rate.

The current motivation of SCP-XXXX-1 is unknown, besides spreading SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-2 to as many people as physically possible. It has also been noted that confirmable cases of SCP-XXXX increase dramatically 10-20 years after an outbreak of SCP-XXXX-2.

Entities of SCP-XXXX-1 seem to lack form, and are undetectable by anyone who is not a current or potential host of SCP-XXXX. These creatures track the host from age 9-13, til adulthood, and in most cases stay until death. Most potential hosts report seeing 1-2 of the entities around them on a given day, and actual hosts can see between 5 and 45 entities during the first few of their teenage years. Hosts rarely mention sightings of SCP-XXXX-1 unless prompted too, despite the distress they receive from the presence of the entities.

Hosts see SCP-XXXX-1 in crevices and dark areas between the ages of 9-20. SCP-XXXX-1 tries to avoid line of sight of the host, typically lurking behind the host, or beyond walls. The laws of physics do not seem to apply to SCP-XXXX-1, as they can move incredibly quickly, do not appear to be bound to the earth by gravity, and can pass through walls. Hosts report seeing quick, darting movements out of the corners of their eyes when moving or turning their heads, which inspires paranoia and fear in the host, which eventually results in depression and various other mental disorders.

SCP-XXXX-1 seem to have the ability to remove SCP-XXXX from a host, and do so if a host is not reaching the unknown expectations set by SCP-XXXX-1.

At age 2█ SCP-XXXX-1 begin to stop hiding, and start openly hovering about the vision of the host, with significantly more entities being observed. After the host turns 3█-██, the amount of distress the host shows greatly increases, and the more obvious signs and symptoms of severe depression and suicidal thoughts start showing. These symptoms directly scale with the amount of people who are fond of the host.

Most hosts commit suicide at peak popularity, or at the age of ██, and any death of a host has the same effect as a suicide. A confirmed host who has not been put through operation U-K should have operation U-K performed immediately upon them, and suicide prevention procedures should be put in place until U-K has had at least a 99% notable decrease in the number of actively admiring "fans".

Any and all persons who could be considered "fans" of the host develop SCP-XXXX-2 after the death of the host. SCP-XXXX-2 makes the affected persons incredibly violent, with the sudden development of a lack of a will to live and appreciation for human life. SCP-XXXX-2 makes the subject attack friends and family members (excluding children), while sobbing uncontrollably in the name of their lost idol.

Children who were directly affected by SCP-XXXX-2 have an approximately ███% higher chance of being chosen as a host for SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-a: The Uran-Kuolema scale of action was created as a direct response to SCP-XXXX-1 by Finnish researcher Eddie ████████ in 195█. Each tier is a direct series of actions and responses to be taken depending on the speculated amount of "fans" the host may have, and is to be executed as soon as a host is determined.

A list of notable hosts and uses/effects of operation U-K can be found in Addendum XXXX-b.

Tier 1 - 10,000 to 200,000 estimated "fans": Accusations of racism and physical assault, many targeted articles against the person are written.

Tier 2 - 200,001 to █,███,███ estimated "fans": Accusations of sexual misconduct and physical assault, and most ties to other celebrities, management companies, and record labels are severed.

Tier 3 - █,███,███ to ██,███,███ estimated "fans": Rape accusations, Shooting accusations, and accusations of anti-semitism, ties to all companies and previous works are removed, and a forced social stigma against the hosts work is created.

Tier 41 - ██,███,███ to █,███,███,███ estimated "fans": Hypnotism of host, and forcing them to [DATA EXPUNGED] on video, and releasing said video to the public. [REDACTED], with a minimum of █,███ years in prison given to the host. Mass memory removal procedures to remove memories of liking and enjoyment of the hosts work should begin commencing immediately.2
