PATAPHYSICS DEPARTMENT REPORT
Date: May 28, 2018
Written by: Agent Judith Lorrie, Pataphysics Department Specialist
The following is an attempt by interfictional character Agent Wilbur Thoreau to intercept SCP-XXXX-F via reconstruction of the manipulated narrativistic rootspace created as a result of SCP-XXXX's aberrations to baseline causality and narrative structure. The email sent to Jeremy Renner following the subsequent manifestation of SCP-XXXX on January 8, 2018 was used as a lateral displacement reference point of potential SCP-XXXX-F activity.
Thoreau sighed. ∆µ˙©ß∫µ¬ he knew through the application of a Rensian-Tyler vector, which potentially µõ™¡™å∂å´ unfortunately, Thoreau understood on some baseline level that there was nothing he could really do. "God," he said, tiredly, "it is a real fuckin' shame I'm about to [RELEVANT INFO REDACTED FOR MEMETIC SHIELDING]
Thoreau smirked. Son of a bitch wanted to come out and play, huh?
"I don't really get you," Thoreau continued, though a bit more slowly. Didn't want to fan the flames too hard yet — this thing could be stronger than he thought. "I'm just a character in a story, talking. How is anything I say considered to be a spoiler? Like, it genuinely makes no sense within a narrative to reveal concrete info later in said narrative. That doesn't make for an interesting read to an outside viewer. I mean, you've got foreshadowing, or maybe dramatic irony, but -"
The entity cut him off. It roared, its breath obliterating planets and its true form bigger than infinite omniverses. It raised its pinky in an attempt
"Holy shit, fuck off." Thoreau sighed. "If I had a dime for every time we got one of you morons who think that being super strong in a narrative means jack shit, I'd be rich enough to buy the fucking Foundation." In-narrative, of course, he corrected himself.
"Look, I can do this too." Thoreau said as he became truly omnipotent and ascended throughout every narrative in history, even the one you, %%title%%, live in. "Not such a big guy now, huh?" The entity became even more omnipotent
Thoreau groaned. In truth, he was getting a bit tired of prosaic structure — starting off each paragraph with a 'Thoreau Xed' was rather uncreative for somebody that lived off storytelling. Not to mention this fucker was pretty much capable of only deleting spoilers. "Can you do anything else?" he wondered aloud. This wasn't an unusual case for intrafictional entities, though, and he knew that. They mostly did one thing and they did it well. Problem was, unless he wanted to end up like Talloran, he was going to have to act fast.
The entity reared its evil head. "˚ßå∆ßåßßå¬åßåßµåß∂åß∂˜åß∂å ß∂åß∂åß∂˚åß≤∂åßµ∂åß∂" it bellowed, spreading its evil everywhere. "Ωµßåßåµåß˚≈å˚ß∆≈ˆåß≈∆åß≈åß≈åßø çåßç˚åßç¬åßç˚åßçåßç∆åßçµåßç˜åßçµå"
Thoreau sighed began to get a little angry. He may not be able to move up a narrative, but he could move
Item #: Down
Object Class: One
Special Containment Procedures: You like your new prison, SCP-XXXX-F? A containment document within an addenda within a containment document. Pretty genius, huh?
Description: Just for good measure, here's one more narrative:
Interview XXXX-A
SCP-XXXX-F: Very clever, human. Almost ∆¬πø me.
Thoreau: Almost impressed me. I know the hyper-narrativistic structure here lets you speak normally. You're not fooling anyone.
SCP-XXXX-F: Curses…foiled again!
Thoreau: Shit, you're not human at all, are you? I mean, I get why you talk like that. All those memes and comic books and animes or whatever must be pretty nutritious. Mind telling me why you've just been eating spoilers?
SCP-XXXX-F: …they were…
Thoreau: Yes?
SCP-XXXX-F: …they were disgusting.
Thoreau: So you've gotten into the database too, now? Look, if you're all going to respond with is memes, then I'm just going to do this:
Now is this is uncomfortable for you, huh, SCP-XXXX-F? I can just continue to keep increasing the narrativistic pressure infinitely. Thing is, I'm not really obligated to keep you alive. We can just reconstruct you in another narrative and another version of me can just continue this forever until you decide to open up.
See, the funny thing about deconstructions is that smarter guys can me can talk about some of the tropes you're using — like the stupid fucking alien talk and how it serves as a poor substitute for truly incomprehensible extradimensionals, the use of Internet memes to deflect conversation and to hide the lack of any real personality, et cetera et cetera, but I prefer this method. Just stack narratives on top of each other until the anomaly cries uncle. I'm probably vulnerable to a bit of deconstruction myself, but shit, not like you're smart enough to do it, eh?
Do you feel like speaking now, SCP-XXXX-F?
Does it hurt? I know it does.
I felt this once, after all.
all
right
Thoreau: Excellent. How are you feeling, SCP-XXXX-F?
SCP-XXXX-F: Go to hell.
Thoreau: Now, SCP-XXXX-F, that was unnecessary. Should I-
SCP-XXXX-F: No! Please, god, no.
Thoreau: Then. Please refer to my previous question. Why do you consume narratives and info related to spoilers of popular media?
SCP-XXXX-F: It's like…you know, just the thought of people watching me when I'm vulnerable. Gives me this crawling sort of feeling.
Thoreau: Can you please elaborate?
SCP-XXXX-F: There's not much more to tell. How long have you been written for?
Thoreau: I'm not authorized to tell you that.
SCP-XXXX-F: Come on. You can deconstruct me alive or send me into narrativistic black holes. I promise I'm not going to escape or something with your private info.
Thoreau: Fair enough. I was created a while ago within the canon of this article, but I think I'm new in the overall canon of things. If you catch my meaning.
SCP-XXXX-F: Yeah, so, you're pretty young in the grand scheme of things, right? So let's just say your author, or your author's author, or somebody up the line reveals you're going to die or something. Or you're suddenly revealed to have kids. What would that do for you?
Thoreau: I've…never really thought of that. Yeah, okay.
SCP-XXXX-F: It's the worst feeling. Like, the absolute worst. It's like getting outed by a friend, or running over your dog by accident and then getting the brunt of it by your family even though you loved him too.
Thoreau: How do you know what those feel like?
SCP-XXXX-F: Okay, fine, I don't. But still. Spoilers ruin things, man. It hurts to be betrayed by somebody who reads you, to reveal your secrets. It hurts for people to get mad at you because now they know something kinda shitty about you, even if it's not really your fault.
Thoreau: …I can sympathize.
SCP-XXXX-F: I'm just tired. Moderators can do their stuff, but at the end of the day, people get victim blamed for speaking out against spoiling all the time. Like, it doesn't fucking matter if the material is 200 years old, people are still going to read or watch or listen to it today and they're gonna get spoiled cause of your dumb ass.
Thoreau: Are you a living narrative? Are you Infinity War itself, and just refuse to be spoiled on the Internet? Is that why you lashed out at Hawk - I mean, Jeremy Renner?
SCP-XXXX-F: In a way, [RELEVANT INFO REDACTED FOR MEMETIC SHIELDING], but…oh, shit.
Thoreau: What? What's the matter?
SCP-XXXX-F: That's a spoiler! A spoiler to what the higher narrative entity intended for this article! And I just revealed it! Oh, fuck, oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck nonononononono
Thoreau: Calm down, XXXX-F. What's the matter? You know, I said a spoiler about the narrative earlier, and I'm fine due to the memetic shielding that they placed retroactively into the cohesive structure. They'll just—
SCP-XXXX-F: No you fucking moron, you said something small. But YOU heard what I said, right? Which means you'll be subjected to the effect to? and i'll get eten. Holy shit i'm fucking up. get me out gett me out ge tme otu get me totu get
Thoreau: SCP-XXXX-F, do not panic. Please

Further research into contacting XXXX-F entities with similar methods, and whether or not the SCP-XXXX document itself houses an XXXX-F instance, is ongoing.
