Item #: SCP-7651

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

The Item classed as SCP-7651 is to be secured at the centre of a eight metre by eight metre concrete containment cell. SCP-7651 is to be inside of a glass case in the middle of the concrete room. Two guards are to be stationed at the entrance door inside of the concrete room, guards are to stop any personnel from entering the room unless they have level three clearance.

Any personnel who come into contact with SCP-7651 must be isolated and put into lock-down inside of a padded room with comforts and all their requests filled. This includes food being delivered to them, books and other items. No items that can be used to harm can be sent inside of the room with them for their own personal safety. (Update; Since further testing has been carried out, it has shown that subjects coming into contact with SCP-7651 will die no matter if dangerous objects enter the room.)

Description:

SCP-7651 is a medium sized stone tablet with engravings on both sides, the engravings do not match up to any prior historical event or religion. Subject's who have been interviewed after picking up SCP-7651 have detailed that the object is impossibly light for its size and material. SCP-7651 seems to give out a siren like sound that will attract any personnel within a five metre area around the containment glass. Upon hearing the mermaid-like siren call, subjects will be drawn to the item making the sound and proceed to try to touch the SCP-7651. Personal witness reports indicate that outside of the five metre siren zone no sound can be heard and once a single individual has heard the siren no other stationed personnel hear the siren call. Upon a subject touching the surface area of SCP-7651 they will receive a small paper cut, this is odd of course as SCP-7651 is a smooth circular shape making it impossible to obtain a cut from it. After three hours of touching SCP-7651 subjects will start to notice SCP-7651-1.

SCP-7651-1 is a demonic humanoid creature, it measures in at 1.9 metres tall. It has no facial features, this includes no eyes, ears, nose. However the item does have a large mouth with twenty jagged teeth. SCP-7651-1 wears a simple black suit with black shoes and a white shirt, SCP-7651-1 also wears a tie that seemingly changes colour for the subject viewing the item. SCP-7651-1 seems to show the ability to appear in any space where the subject is no matter the distance travelled or the objects in the way. SCP-7651-1 then begins to “whisper” to the subject, subjects have however reported that the creature itself does not make any sounds with its mouth while in view instead the “whispering” seems to be psychic in nature.

Upon twelve hours of touching SCP-7651-1 subjects are to be detained and put inside of a padded cell often used to contain the criminally insane. Upon subjects entering into containment, they will be able to request anything they want. This can go from different types of food, different types of magazines or movies or any type of entertainment they wish for in their final hours. However, D-Class personnel do not get these privileges; they will get a simple padded room for containment and simple standard food supplements. Upon directly twenty-four hours after touching SCP-7651, the subjects will begin trying to make their way towards SCP-7651 if they make their way to the tablet then they will cut their throats over the tablet, this will happen even if no sharp object is nearby. Keeping subjects inside of containment, their throats will still be cut no matter if there are no sharp objects or the tablet nearby.

Addendum 7651-A

On the request of Dr. {REDACTED}, different types of animal species were made to touch SCP-7651. After testing on a wide range of animal species none of the animals died after the 24 hours. However cat’s seemed to show some awareness of an outside creature that personnel witnesses reported that no other creature was in the room. The clear indication is that somehow cat’s have the ability to sense SCP-7651-1 however it seems not to be bothered by animals.

Addendum 7651-B

On the request of Dr. {REDACTED}, a D-Class personnel was instructed to touch SCP-7651. The D-Class personnel was then put inside of a standard containment for subjects touching SCP-7651. Five hours after the D-Class personnel touched SCP-7651 Dr. Smeck started an interview with the D-Class in order to speak with SCP-7651-1, see Interview 7651-L1 for further details. This Interview proved to be fruitless, and seemed to annoy SCP-7651-1 to the point of quickening the death of the subject.
