Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4079 is contained in a stainless steel box measuring 15 x 10 x 5 at site-xx. No physical contact is to be made with SCP-4079 without suit. No eye contact is to be made with SCP-4079's eye for any reason.
No weak minded individual should be allowed for testing SCP-4079 or be under 10 meters of distance
Any personnel who begin to act erratically, or attempt to grab SCP-4079 are to be terminated immediately. No sharp objects or firearms are allowed in SCP-4079's containment room.
Description: SCP-4079 is a dagger featuring a tempered, high-carbon steel blade and mild steel fittings measuring around 8.5 Inches. The blade displays a traditional straight edge with a subtle upprofile taper. The grip is steel, and displays a rounded pommel. SCP-4079 have a red eye on the top of the handle. This eye moves and seems to be aware it's surroundings.
Any sentient being closer than 10 cubic meters from SCP-4079 will start getting influenced by it. SCP-4079 will start to convey them to look it on the eye by inducing anxiety, distress and similar symptoms as schizophrenia
Anyone who looks into the eye of SCP-4079 will become irrational and will attempt to grab it at all cost, if the subject manages to touch it will become SCP-4079-1
SCP-4079-1 becomes very agile, strong, resistant and will get a regenerative factor. SCP-4079-1 will attempt to kill anything using SCP-4079. Victims of SCP-4079 will get all of its blood drained. Tests reveals that SCP-4079-1 skills increase with each successful kill.
Addendum 4079.1: Discovery
Repeated reports of mass murders from the city ████ caught the SCP facility attention when the number of victims was increasing exponentially each week. All victims shared the same trait, none of them had blood and major organs were missing. The SCP team observed the responsible of the mass murder for some time, they learned that this creature is extremely agile, it's speed on land range from 60-70 km, this creature regenerate any wound inflicted so bullets doesn't work and this creature is incredibly smart and the weapon it use it's some kind of knife. After some more observations developed a plan to capture it. The SCP team evacuated the city to avoid further loss and put into action plan-SPEDES, the SCP team deployed 20 class D personnel on the most recent incident to attract the creature. When the creature approached to devour the class D, 20 MTF agents emerged from bushes and opened fire to the creature, instead of bullets, they were using electric probes to stun it. After the creature got successfully disabled, they proceed to place it on a steel container 3.4cm thick and transport it to the SCP facility at site-██.

Addendum 4079.2: Incident #1
Under the orders of doctor █████ the Neutralization of SCP-4079 was attempted. SCP-4079 was transported to the chamber of SCP-682. After 12 hours, SCP-682 has successfully exterminated SCP-4079, the only remaining thing was his weapon, when some crew members attempted to retrieve it was when it was learned that what they destroyed was nothing more than a host the weapon itself is what caused so much trouble. After █████ had contact with the weapon, lost his mind completely and started murdering everyone at his sigh. MTF agents quickly arrived to the place of the incident and incapacitated SCP-4079-1. This time no one had physical contact with SCP-4079 and was placed in a container and SCP-4079-1 was placed on the chamber of SCP-682 to exterminated. Later on the dagger was placed under the control of doctor █████ to be analyzed. Later in that day, was reported another containment breach from the SCP-4079, reports said that I took doctor █████’s and used him to cause lot of loss on the facility, again the MTF crew disabled SCP-4079-1 and recovered SCP-4079. Doctor Jenner was observing all these incidents and came to the conclusion that SCP-4079 have some sort of mind control and conducted an experiment See log 789-53 Exposing 3 Class D personnel to the container of SCP-4079 during 20 minutes. Addendum 4079.2: Incident #2
Doctor █████ attempted some clandestine experiments with SCP-4079. Due to his lack of understanding and improper precautions SCP-4079 breached its containment. After SCP-4079 successfully took another host, the killing spree started. ███ Guards were killed during the breach and ██ Class-D personnel were sacrificed to contain it once again. To prevent this from happening again, SCP-4079 was relocated to site-██ and the security clearance was increased from level 3 to 4. A security video was recovered from the incident. See video below
