an artists rendition of SCP-XXXX (picture not in final form)

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be held in a triangular room with only one point of entry at the point of the triangle so that whole room is visible through the door. due to the inability to use security cameras, SCP-XXXX must be checked on every day to insure safe containment. During routine inspection of containment, object must be kept under constant surveillance. All copies of SCP-XXXX are to be incinerated after testing unless instructed otherwise by a level 4 or higher personnel.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a yellow plastic wet floor sign of normal proportions. A small image in the center of the sign depicts a man diving into a liquid substance with a large black cross through it.

Upon entering a room with SCP-XXXX out of sight, SCP-XXXX will appear immediately under foot (Method of transportation is still to be determined) and cause subject to trip. The floor in front of the subject will suddenly liquefy engulfing them as they fall into it. the floor will then solidify trapping the subject under the floor. Exactly 10 minutes after incident SCP-XXXX will perform a form of mitosis creating another sign that looks identical and has the same abilities as the first including the ability to clone its' self. After this 10 minute period attempts to recover the body of the victim have failed. Test subjects body's recovered before this time are [REDACTED].

live videos, recordings and photographs fail to pick up SCP-XXXX's presence.

SCP-XXXX, When damaged in a way that the words on the sigh are intact, will restore all damage next time it 'teleports'. However, if any of the lettering or pictogram it removed through any form of physical attack, the object appears to lose all anomalous affects and becomes a normal sign.

Subjects in SCP-XXXX's containment for an extended period of time become paranoid and feel as if SCP-XXXX is watching them.

Test A - 01/02/20██

Subject: One D-class personnel

Procedure: SCP-XXXX is placed in a room where it can't be seen on entry. D-class is instructed to enter room very slowly.

Results: After entering the room SCP-appears in front of the subject. The D-class, unaware of SCP-XXXX's sudden appearance, lightly kicks SCP-XXXX as he reaches SCP-XXXX's position and, being surprised by it's presence, is startled into jumps backwards into a now liquid floor being completely engulfed.

Notes: "Hmmm… It seams the object can consciously choose where to liquify the floor. This suggests it may be sentient. Further testing needed" - Dr. G████

Test B - 18/10/20██

Subject: One D-class personnel

Procedure: SCP-XXXX is placed in a room where it can't be seen on entry. Subject is briefed on SCP-XXXX's effects.

Results: Subject enters room carefully. SCP-XXXX appears at subjects feet. Subject freezes and sates at SCP-XXXX while not moving from his position. Subject continues to stand like this for a further 5 minutes before slowly backing away from SCP-XXXX towards the door. Subject is allowed to leave containment. The subject, in an interview after test, expressed that he could feel SCP-XXXX "staring disappointedly" at him.

Notes: "This is not finished yet" - Dr. G████
