Containment Procedures: SCP-NUMBER is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell. SCP-NUMBER does not require any form of food or sustenance, and does not require sleep, however, it has been provided with a standard single person bed, as well as allowed to decorate its cell, so long as it maintains a good record of behavior.
SCP-NUMBER is to be visited at least weekly by research staff assigned to it, if time and other duties permit. This is not considered a high priority, but SCP-NUMBER does become lethargic and unresponsive if denied social stimuli for any length of time greater than a week or so.
Description: SCP-NUMBER is a human skeleton. Female, measuring 1.70 meters in height, and weighing exactly 23 pounds. It is composed of 206 bone which have been smoothed by the application of some external tool. SCP-NUMBER's bones are highly resistant to damage, and are able to absorb considerable amounts of force. They are highly polished, and do not seem to attract dirt or dust, but seem to, in all other aspects, operate as would be expected.
SCP-NUMBER's body is bound by a necrotic force, which has been characterized by Foundation experts as the result of a ritual conducted at some point in the past. This field of force enables and allows SCP-NUMBER to move its body as though it were coated with flesh, blood, muscle and so forth. However, it does not account for weight or mass, and so SCP-NUMBER can have a hard time moving anything that is particularly heavy, and can be brushed aside with a low amount of force compared to a human with the same skeleton type and weight.
SCP-NUMBER's body can be damaged, though doing so is quite difficult. It will usually repair itself within twenty four hours. If the damage is extensive, it may take as long as a week for it to fully regain functionality. SCP-NUMBER can repair damage to its bones, and even replace missing bones if it must, though, according to interviews with the SCP itself, doing so is tiring for it. The only exception to this is the skull, which has suffered damage consistent with a low caliber bullet fired at close range. Foundation forensic experts have examined the site, and are in agreement that the pattern of damage done to the skull is consistent with pre-mortem trauma.
SCP-NUMBER is animate, and intelligent. It does not have the ability to speak verbally, as it does not posses a voice box of a throat, but can understand commands and respond with hand signs, or gestures. In various tests, it has scored slightly above the average in terms of IQ, and has displayed medical knowledge relating to nursing and care for the elderly, as well as advanced knowledge of human biology. SCP-NUMBER has also demonstrated knowledge of the core tenants of certain cults, chiefly concerned with the resurrection of the dead. However, its knowledge is not advanced enough in this area to be considered truly an expert, and according to interviews, it does not consider itself to be related or tied to them, and looked into them as a matter of interest some time ago.
SCP-NUMBER is generally cooperative with research staff, and even friendly. It communicates freely, displaying knowledge of UK and American standard sign language. It can read in three languages, English, French of German, and if pressed for an opinion on a given subject, is usually able to display an ability to rapidly break down and respond to arguments or opinions which suggests familiarity with such environments. SCP-NUMBER can even give a basic fitness test, or be asked for a medical diagnosis, though in this case, it will usually insist that it is not a real doctor, and its opinion should not be taken as ironclad.
Attempts to trace SCP-NUMBER's origin have been met with mixed success. SCP-NUMBER is happy to talk, but is also guarded when speaking of the past. It is able to offer an opinion on the field of medicine, or modern politics, but becomes silent when asked about how it came to be. When pressed, it has in the past claimed that it woke up one day in a morgue in Germany and has been wandering ever since.
Foundation sources, however, have come to the conclusion that SCP-NUMBER is likely the body of Eliza Brawn, a certified nurse who was reported missing in 1998. This has been done via combination of DNA tests based on the recovered bones of the subject, and interviews conducted with SCP-NUMBER during which it was noted which questions it was happy to answer, and which it did not respond to, or tried to deflect. Furthermore, via a series of casual conversations, researchers have even narrowed down SCP-NUMBER's home city, and original place of work, which correspond to those of Eliza Brawn.
Eliza Brawn, as well as her husband, Charles Brawn, vanished some time in 1998. Local police attempted to locate them, but failed when the trail of evidence dried up. Charles Brawn was a highly successful doctor and surgeon, who is known to the Foundation to have dabbled in certain necomantic cults. The two had been married for two years, and had been in a relationship since they were both teens.
