Due to it’s nature, SCP-XXXX is impossible to be contained
Amnestics Class-A are to be administered to any civilian that comes in contact with SCP-XXXX. Historians within the Foundation are to analyze carefully every historical piece of evidence of the existence of SCP-XXXX describing any event placed after ██/██/15██, and to remove it if any trace of SCP-XXXX appears. The existence of SCP-XXXX as a popular legend is still allowed and encouraged to the population.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a meteorological anomaly unique to [DATA REDACTED], appearing every time a set of conditions are applied (see Addendum-XXXX-A). The effect appears only once in all the territory during the time of the event (less than one hour).
Scans of SCP-XXXX has proven that it’s entirely made of water in a gaseous state. Knowledge on what causes it’s formation and how it have it’s shape and movement is still unavailable.
SCP-XXXX is a crusader knight mounting on a horse, fully armoured and ready to battle, all made of mist. The knight carries a sword and holds it in it’s right hand, branding the weapon in a offensive way, and it’s seen circulating with it’s horse in a randomized pattern. Thought no noise is made by the knight figure, the horse has been recorded to make sounds typical to the animal, such as the sound of it’s hooves on any hard terrain or vocal noises.
SCP- maintains a distance of at least 15 meters to any individual in it's vicinity, and it's seem to continue it's movement while keeping it's field of vision locked with the individual. If anyone comes closer than 15 meters, SCP- will engage in an defensive position. If the person shows trace of [DATA REDACTED] ethnicity or theism based on [DATA REDACTED] (see Adendum—B), SCP- will engage in attack. However, is incapable of affecting anyone due to it's nature.
SCP-XXXX has officially recorded for the first time in ██/██/1930, when tales and stories of encounters with the mounted knight came to Foundation agents. The Foundation acted quickly, hiding any trace of the anomaly and rewrite any SCP-’s reference as a popular legend of a long-forgotten knight who would return from a lost battle that would carry on to fight for his kingdom. The population had no problems in accepting this story due to the already told legends of such figury.
Addendum-XXXX-A:
The conditions are as it follows:
-In any of [DATA REDACTED]’s coastal territories. This phenomenon is not visible in any of the islands that constitute the country.
-morning, between 0600 and 0930
-north hemisphere summer
-the existence of heavy fog, to the point that disallows vision in a radius bigger than 5 meters.
-small clusters of civilization near, such as villages. Statistics show that SCP- has a preference over small piscatory villages.
Even in the existence of such conditions, SCP-XXXX will not always appear.
Addendum-XXXX-B:
Any individual that shows more than 50% of [DATA REDACTED] ethnicity or follower of Abrahamic faith will become a target of attention to SCP-XXXX, even becoming target to it's attacks if closer than 15 meters of distance.
