SCP-34521 is a facility of unknown origin and purpose installed in tunnels beneath an unnamed mountain peak in the Himalayas.
History
SCP-34521 was founded on 23/01/19██ by the Foundation and the U.S. Air Force. They were tasked with studying the effects of the electromagnetic fields that emanated from the mountain peak. The facility was initially constructed in a small cave within the mountain, but was later moved to a larger cave within the mountain, and was renamed SCP-34521.
The base's purpose became clear when the U.S. Army and the Air Force discovered that SCP-34521 emitted a specific level of radiation for any given time period. This radiation was believed to be caused by the interaction of two types of radio transmission: one made by a Soviet-era transmitter, and one made by the Chinese military. During a period of time, SCP-34521's power and output became unusually high, and it began to emit a high-pitched whine.
This event was recorded as SCP-34521-A, the first documented incident of SCP-34521 emitting radiation.
The following day, SCP-34521-A was followed up with several other events, which were recorded as SCP-34521-B, and then SCP-34521-C. The anomalous effects of SCP-34521-C and SCP-34521-B were confirmed by the Army and Air Force.
The last known incident of SCP-34521 emitting radiation was recorded on 07/09/20██. The Foundation began to suspect that SCP-34521 was emitting radiation directly into the atmosphere, and began evacuating the facility, claiming that they could no longer contain the radiation.
On 08/09/20██, SCP-34521-A was reported to have began emitting radiation of an unknown type. On 08/10/20██, the facility was evacuated, and SCP-34521-A was moved to a secondary location. The facility was later renamed SCP-34521.

SCP-34521 is a facility of unknown origin and purpose installed in tunnels beneath an unnamed mountain peak in the Himalayas. Most of the facility is unoccupied, with several large, empty tunnels that are used for storing and moving data.
SCP-34521 was discovered by Foundation personnel while off-duty in the mountains of Nepal in the middle of the night. The facility contained the remains of at least three individuals who were killed by the discovery. The facility's existence was first discovered by an Indo-Tibetan paramedic named S.R.D. Surya, who was alerted by his son. After receiving frantic calls from locals, he and his team were able to locate the site and had access to a small network of tunnels through which they were able to enter the facility. It was discovered that SCP-34521 was designed by a team of scientists from the United States, Canada, and Europe, who had been working on a project to create a small, miniaturized version of the SCP-████. This project was a joint effort of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Department of Defense, and the Central Intelligence Agency (Central Intelligence Agency).
SCP-34521 was initially discovered by the Foundation when an earthquake struck the area shortly after midnight on ██/██/████. The facility was destroyed in the earthquake, but the site's remains were recovered within the following 30 days. SCP-34521's remains were found in the mountains above the site and transported to Site-██.
After the Foundation's discovery of SCP-34521, a group of Foundation agents was dispatched to the location. The site was discovered to contain SCP-34521's remains, along with numerous copies of the SCP-███-A document, a document containing the specification for SCP-███. The document was found to contain a copy of SCP-███, along with a copy of SCP-████.
On ██/██/████, several operatives from the Information Security Agency (ISA) discovered that there were three copies of the document in the Site-██ safe room. A black-and-white photograph of SCP-███ was found in one of the copies, along with a digital copy of SCP-████.
In order to retrieve the surviving copies of SCP-███, Agent ████ was sent to Site-██ to retrieve the document. He arrived at the site during the night and found the document in another room. While investigating the room, Agent ████ said that he heard an audible "pop" and then "boom". The document was discovered to be a copy of SCP-███, along with a copy of SCP-████, and the photograph from the third copy was the original photograph from the photo album. After discovering this information, SCP-███ was taken into custody and was brought to Site-██.
After gaining access to the room where SCP-███ was held, Agent ████ found a copy of SCP-████, along with a digital copy of SCP-████. When asked about the document, Agent ████ stated that it was a copy of SCP-███, but said that it was a copy of an earlier version. Upon asking about the source of the document, Agent ████ stated that it was "something old and hard to get ahold of".
SCP-34521's remains were later recovered by Dr. John Parkel, who was working at Site-██ at the time.
Addendum: Investigation into SCP-34521's origins revealed that the originals of SCP-███ and SCP-████ were the work of the same scientist. With the discovery of SCP-███, Parkel's involvement with the project was terminated.
Addendum 2: On ██/██/████, four copies of SCP-████ were found in a room in the Foundation's Research and Development department. But when Agents Parkel, ████, and ███████ arrived to retrieve them, they found the four copies of SCP-████ in different locations around the building. The Agent was sent to retrieve them, and was able to extract them safely.
SCP-34521 is a facility of unknown origin and purpose installed in tunnels beneath an unnamed mountain peak in the Andes Mountains. The facility was designed to be a research facility for the academic and scientific study of the psionic and paranormal, and is believed to be active.
It is the property of the Foundation's Arex Corporation. The facility is located in the "Ring of Fire." According to a Foundation operative, it is considered a "theoretical experiment," and is deemed classified under the "otherworldly" category. The facility is not active according to Foundation data, and has been dormant for a number of years.
History
The facility was designed, according to the Foundation, to research the psionic and paranormal. The facility was also advertised as being capable of creating "magnetic fields" that could be used to manipulate and control other types of matter. These fields were believed to be able to control the weather, and could be used to levitate objects and potentially to control other matter.
When the facility was first discovered, it was assumed that it was abandoned, and that the Foundation had removed it. However, Foundation operatives discovered that there are still active facilities in the area. The Foundation's operative in charge of the Arex facility was a scientist named Dr. Peter O'Brien. The facility was located in a tunnel beneath the mountain.
In the 1990s, a group of travelers assaulted the facility and took it over. These individuals were the last known inhabitants of the facility.
According to Dr. O'Brien, the facility has been dormant for several years. The facility was damaged by the attack, and it was abandoned after the incident. There have been no new arrivals to the facility since then.
In the late 1990s, Dr. O'Brien was tasked with studying the effects of the temporal vortex in the facility. The vortex was described to be "endless, so that one could travel indefinitely across the vast expanse of time."
In the late 1990s, Dr. O'Brien sent a team of researchers to the facility. They found what appeared to be a "singularity," in which the time-space continuum was split into two separate parts. The researchers were able to travel between the two realities, but their time-traveling abilities were severely limited.
In the early 2000s, Dr. O'Brien and his team of researchers began to research the temporal vortex. They discovered that the dimensions of time and space were not uniform. They also discovered that a "star of fire" could be created by manipulating the temporal vortex. These researchers also discovered that the physical dimension of the facility was not uniform. The researcher noted that time and space were not quantized, and that there were "super-realities" which were different from the physical dimension. This discovery was further supported by the existence of other realities. This research was conducted in the hub of the facility, where a number of researchers were located.
In the late 2000s, Dr. O'Brien and his team were tasked with entering the facility after a number of anomalous events were reported in the facility.
In the late 2000s, Dr. O'Brien was tasked with studying the effects of the temporal vortex. When the researchers arrived at the facility, the facility was under attack. The researchers were able to control the time-space continuum, but were unable to move or change their location.
In the spring of 2001, Dr. O'Brien was tasked with investigating the anomalous events in the facility. The researchers were able to move through time, but were unable to change their location.
