Penny Pincher
Item #: SCP ###
Object class: Safe
Special containment procediures: SCP ### should be kept in a standard containment cell no smaller than 5m x 5m x 6m. Any windows, or other openings to the outside of it's continment cell should not be able to open more than 0.5cm, if at all. Any air ventilation in or out of SCP ###'s chamber must be out of reach, preferably on the ceiling. Door ways must have no gaps around them. No coin currency is allowed in SCP PP's containment area except for research. Is coin currency is left with SCP PP security must be informed.
Description: SCP ### is a grey non humanoid creature around 0.6 meters tall with an ovoid main body structure and tentacle like structures which it uses for walking and grasping. For sight it has two large yellow eyes about the size of an adult males fist, tests have not shown any marked increase in eye sight from a human, nor are they useful for night vision. It also has a wide mouth which is curled up often in a smile which tends to elicit a calm or pleased response from personal who interact with it. Closer inspection has revealed that the mouth actually curls up as that's where the start of a set of storage pouches are- similar to the pouches found in the bodily structures of Mesocricetus auratus- thus forcing the mouth forwards and up slightly.
Agility tests show that it can morph it's tentacle apendges into various lengths and thicknessess to aide it's ability to jump, run, hurdle, and (with some dificulty) hover for no more than 4.3 seconds. As of yet it has not shown any ability to morph its main body. See adendum SPC-PPA

SCP PPs demeanor has meant it has endeared itself to the D class personal sent in for testing. I believe it would be wise for them to be rebreifed on proper behaviour around SCPs. They are not pets, and calling it "Penny" or trying to bribe it with "treats" (more often than not currency not intended for the current test) has lead to lax behaviour and just yesterday we nearly had a containment breach. I just wish we weren't so short on D class right now or I'd have terminated this entire useless group. For now amnesties and retraining will have to do.

The tests are still moving along as needed. Dr Maggie is convinced that SCP PP is sapient because after we retrained all the D class "it knew". Well of course it knew they acted as if they'd never seen it before and were now actively following SCP procedures rather than treating it like a puppy. This has caused it minor mental distress but it'll get over it.

Narrative:
PP was found in a cave on the Grecian island of Corfu. Two teenage boys had been swimming whilst on holiday and had discovered a sea cave. Once inside the cave they found a plethora of coins, the oldest being from the Roman Republic from around 54 BC although the majority of the coins seemed to be modern from varying currencies. The boys had grabbed a few of the older coins and were about to leave when PP attacked shooting balls of metal at them and leaving them unconscious. The local coast guard were informed of their disappearance and an imbedded SCP agent went with them to find the boys. Once located they were taken to hospital and one of the boys described the strange creature they had seen. The imbedded officer had the cave closed off for investigation and PP was quickly contained. Amnestics were delivered to one of the boys however the head trauma had completely wiped the other boys memories of that entire day and thus amnestics were deemed unnecessary for him.
