Description: SCP-XXXX is a kind of ancient amulet, made mainly of yellow gold in the form of a torus ring with a crystal made of an unknown material at its center; carbon-14 dating reveals that this object is at least twenty thousand years old. SCP-XXXX causes trees to lose their foliage, including perennials, in fifteen metres in diameter area; trees are still able to live and produce energy with an unknown method without the use of photosynthesis. The same effect occurs in mammalian animals over an area of twenty meters in diameter; these animals lose their fur completely, the affected animals are able to produce energy without food intake.
The total loss takes one or two days and remains for five to seven days without exposure to the affected area;
This object is very similar to SCP-YYYY in its form. Further studies on the correlation of these two anomalies are been made since October 19th of the year in which this document was written.
