Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to remain in a Foundation-issued gramophone in the containment chamber of SCP-469 on Site-██. It is to remain playing indefinitely unless orders have been provided by Level 4 or greater Foundation personnel. SCP-XXXX is to be cleaned on a biweekly basis of any decomposing agents that happen to be present. During these routine cleanings, all normal safety and containment precautions must be taken in the presence of SCP-469.

SCP-XXXX must undergo routine cleaning on a biweekly basis of any and all decomposing agents that happen to be present on it. During routine cleaning, Foundation personnel must completely submerge SCP-XXXX in a vat containing liquid of pH no less than 12.5 for a period of no shorter than 3 hours. If decomposing agents are still present then SCP-XXXX must be submerged in a clean vat containing liquid of pH no less than 12.5 for one hour. This process must continue until there no decomposing agents remain on SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a disc-shaped structure with a █████ etching making it resemble an 1880s vinyl music record. It is fully comprised of an unknown organic material that has so far proven to be completely indestructible, safe from natural decomposition. When played though a gramophone, SCP-XXXX completely nullifies any resonating sound waves in the room it is contained in or, if the room is not completely sealed, a 500m radius around SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX notably induces a feeling of panic or insanity on those that are within its affected vicinity. Subjects have been known to experience mental breakdowns, [DATA EXPUNGED], and suicidal tendencies prior to the onset of insanity and, with prolonged exposure, death (see Experiment Log XXXX-01). Although originally discovered as the idol of a cultist group, SCP-XXXX has not been observed to effect any other individuals in this way (see Addendum XXXX.1a).

Addendum XXXX.1a: Discovery
MTF Eta-11 “Savage Beasts” were dispatched on █/█/██ to a small town ██ kilometers off █████, Italy following reports of several anomalous auditory disturbances and supposed cult action in the area. Upon arrival to the site, Eta-11 troops stormed a barricaded barn house where the auditory anomalies were supposedly coming from. Upon entering, Eta-11 units reported a sudden disappearance of all auditory stimuli and what appeared to be a group of around 14 Caucasian males dressed in ebony robes seemingly praying to a gramophone playing a record. Shortly after, subjects became hostile and attacked MTF Eta-11 empty-handed, resulting in 13 subjects being terminated and one being captured. Subject was put under Foundation custody in Site-██ along with SCP-XXXX.
