Special Containment Procedure: This SCP is to be stored in a standard containment locker at Site-[REDACTED]. There is to be a 2 combination locks. Any tests must have permission from any Level 3 personnel to proceed. During testing, no more than 1 subject should be used at a time.
Description: SCP-5079 is a Sony© Brand Playstation one console. It was received when one Foundation agent went undercover in a High School do to reports of someone talking about an anomalous object. On May 6th, 1999 the agent overheard someone talking about how their game console can make people be. "In the game." The agent secretly followed this high school student and his friends home. There the agent discovered the student touching the console and disappearing. The agent immediately contacted the foundation and they sent Mobile Task Force Unit Mu-4 designated debuggers to retrieve SCP-5079. All of the high school student's friends and family got a dose of Class-B Amnestics. The high school student in question was interrogated by the MTF squad and got a dose of Class-C amnestics. When a standard Playstation game console disc is inserted anyone within a 5-foot radius of the Playstation one console will be "in the game." If a disc not manufactured by sony is put into the game the anomalous effects will not happen. How it knows whether or not a disc is genuine is unknown.
