Scp-4929

Item #: SCP-4929

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4929 is kept inside a standard containment cell. Under no circumstance should SCP-4929 be plugged into foundation network, ATMs, or any other technology containing foundation staff bank card information. As of 3/19/2007, SCP-4929 is not to be dissected or dissembled (See Addendum SCP-4929-1).

Description: SCP-4929 is an unbranded 'Face Bank.' Contrary to a non-anomalous Face Bank, the back of SCP-4929 houses 2 USB ports, SCP-4929 also possesses a slightly larger mouth. SCP-4929's mouth moves continually, unresponsive to the switch on its back. SCP-4929 also shows to be capable of blinking when its eye is touched directly by an individuals finger. SCP-4929's primary anomalous effect occurs when currency or currency cards are placed into its mouth, and fed to the holding slot located on its bottom. All funds fed through SCP-4929 and retrieved through its holding slot are devoid of value, and credentials. Paper bills passed through SCP-4929 no longer possess raised print, are generally thinner and are no longer considered legal tender. Coins passed through SCP-4929 are stripped of all detail, and effectively reduced to a metal circle. Credit and debit cards passed through SCP-4929 look physically the same, but lack currency and credentials when placed into an ATM or any other type of bank card reader.

SCP-4929's primary anomalous effect also applies to electronic devices containing currency and bank cards. When connecting SCP-4929 into an electronic device withholding bank cards or currency using the USB ports on its back, SCP-4929's mouth stops briefly before continuing. Upon closer inspection, all bank cards associated directly with the device are erased of value and credentials, including all video game, and crypto-currency on the device (See Addendum-4929-2).

Addendum-4929-1:
Disassembly of SCP-4929
Conducted by Dr. William and Dr. Short
Dr. William and Dr. Short started the disassembly of SCP-4929 by removing its back, and bottom plastic plate using a screwdriver. At this point, SCP-4929 had suddenly discontinued movement of its mouth. Sixteen minutes later As Dr.William was recorded to have placed his right hand's index finger between gears by SCP-4929's mouth, SCP-4929's mouth began to function again, the gears moving thirteen times their average speed, subsequently breaking and crushing Dr. William's index finger before the disassembly was called off. Dr. William's injury resulted in the amputation of his right hand's Index finger.

Dr. William's request to change SCP-4929's object class to Euclid has been declined.

Addendum-4929-2
Log of all experiments

4/8/2010

Subject: SCP-4929

Preface: Dr. William connects SCP-4929 to his personal laptop, which holds a folder containing a single Bitcoin. Dr. William's laptop was reset to factory settings before beginning the experiment.

Observation Notes: SCP-4929's mouth ceased movement for 1 second, before continuing movement of its mouth, Dr. Williams was then forced out of the folder. Upon re-entering the folder, Dr. Williams reported the Bitcoin was no longer there.

4/9/2010

Subject: SCP-4929

Preface: Dr. William feeds a single 20₱ bill into SCP-4929.

Observation Notes: SCP-4929's mouth ceased movement for 1 second before its mouth began moving again. Dr. William retrieved the peso from SCP-4929's holding slot and reported that the bill felt smoother than before as well as being thinner. Upon holding the bill up to a light, Dr. William claimed the bill was also more transparent, supporting his statement by comparing it to a regular peso.

4/9/2010

Subject: SCP-4929

Preface: Dr. William feeds SCP-4929 the same 20₱ bill, that has already been fed through SCP-4929.
Observation Notes: SCP-4929 processes the bill, and its mouth does not stop moving. After Dr. William retrieves the note from SCP-4929's holding slot, he claims there is no discernible difference.

6/5/2010

Subject: SCP-4929

Preface: Dr. William requests a small ATM and 6 debit cards, 6 credit cards, and $220 USD. Request made 5/1/2010. Request accepted 5/17/2010. Dr. Williams and 11 other foundation staff applied for credit and debit cards, using the ones granted. Each person placing $20 USD on their respective card, and inserting then ejecting the card from the machine after depositing $20 into the ATM. SCP-4929 was then connected to the ATM.

Observation Notes: SCP-4929's mouth stopped moving for approximately 2 seconds before motion in its mouth continued. Later inspection of the ATM and cards showed all currency and credentials from the cards used were erased, and the money in the ATM was taken out and displayed all properties indicating it had been fed through SCP-4929.
