Description: SCP-4000 is believed to have been a failed attempt of creating a universal solvent by the Greek God of Alchemy Hermes Trismegistus. SCP-4000 was created during the Ancient Greek Times (900bc-146bc). The contents of SCP-4000 have a radioactive reading of 400 sieverts from 40 miles outside the excavation site. The entity itself then is estimated to have a sievert reading of 16,000 which is Enough radiation to become lethal upon contact. SCP-4000 is believed to emit a bright green glow which is believed to be the glow of radiation from the element. This entity now known as SCP-4000 can be found at the coordinates 19º 47‘ 36” N, 18º 33’ 6” E which is also the highest point of the Sahara Desert. SCP-4000 is kept in a 20X20X60 mile cement box with cement walls that are 10 yards thick to prevent this strong radioactive element from leaking into the open world.
THE CREATION
SCP-4000 was created approximately around the year 833 bc during the Ancient Greek Times. The Greek God of Alchemy Hermes Trismegistus being an alchemist wanted to find a universal solvent. He had tried many different mixtures of acids and other elements which all never worked. He had lost all hope when he had finally found it, he was going to make the universal solvent into a self-heating element. An element that was capable of heating itself up to any temperature an eventually destroying that object, but what he didn’t know is that the element couldn’t reset itself meaning it was constantly heating up. This was it, he had finally made the universal solvent. The year is now 356 bc and Hermes wanted to show off his newly found element to the rest of the alchemists, so he had brought all the worlds alchemists together at the temple of Artemis. While he was showcasing the new element he had spilled a little bit behind the stand where he was showing it off. When everybody had left and he had went back to his temple, the next day all of Olympus had awoken to the temple of Artemis being up in a huge blaze. Hermes had somehow immediately knew that this was his fault and he rushed to take his newly found element and hide it somewhere away from everything. So where did he take it, he took it to the highest point in the Sahara Desert and buried it 10 feet below the ground where it lay for the next 1649 years until it was eventually re-discovered by the SCP Foundation in 2005.
TEST EVENTS OF SCP-4000
Test A - 03/12/2005 12:56EST
Subject:T.Paris
Procedure: Walk into SCP-4000’s chamber and touch the element, heat is taken down to a stable 46º Celsius so human entry is possible
Results: Subject T.Paris is killed instantaneously as well as his left hand being completely removed from his body. TOD:03/12/2005 13:04EST
Analysis: Element is a tremendous heat source, do not attempt to come into contact with SCP-4000 directly
Test B - 04/15/2005 14:37EST
Subject: Class D A.Martinez
Procedure: Walk into SCP-4000’s chamber and stay inside until death occurs, chamber temperature levels brought down to a stable 43º so human entry is possible
Results: Subject A.Martinez died of what can only be imagined to be Radiation Sickness. TOD:05/15/2005 14:50EST
Analysis: Do not enter chamber without proper protection for any amount of time
Test C - 05/02/2005 10:42EST
Subject: Class D W.Knupp
Procedure: Walk into SCP-4000’s chamber with MTF Beta 5 Level Hazmat suit and stay inside until told to exit, heat was brought down to a stable 45º foo human entry is possible
Results: Subject W.Knupp was able to exit chamber after 10 minutes but later died the next day. TOD: 05/03/2005 05:27EST
Analysis: Staying in SCP-4000’s chamber for longer than 10 minutes will result in eventual death..
Test D - 06/08/2005 18:43EST
Subject: Class D E.Peterson
Procedure: Walk into SCP-4000’s chamber with MTF Beta 5 Level Hazmat suit and stay inside for 5 minutes, chamber temperature was brought down to a stable 46º degrees so human entry is possible
Results: Subject E.Peterson was released from the chamber after 5 minutes but eventually died 3 days after the test TOD: 06/11/2005 12:54EST
Analysis: Staying in SCP-4000 ‘s chamber for longer than 5 minutes will result in eventual death
Test E - 07/19/2005 13:27EST
Subject: Class D M.Escario
Procedure: Enter SCP-4000’s chamber for exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds wearing MTF Beta 5 Level Hazmat gear, chamber temperature levels will be lowered to a stable 45º so human entry is possible
Results: Subject M.Escario was released from the chamber after 1 minute and 30 seconds, subject later died 4 days later. TOD:07/23/2005 13:58EST
Analysis: Human contact is not possible with SCP-4000
Test F - 08/25/2005 17:05EST
Subject: Data Collection Robot Serial #1864964G
Procedure: Robot will enter the cahamber and collect temperatures and exact radioactivity levels, chambers temperature levels will be lowered to 200º Celsius so that robot entry is possible.
Results: Robot survived and data was extracted without harm to any other humans, but data was corrupted.
Analysis: Possibled EMF distortion involved.
Test G - 09/15/2005 13:15EST
Subject: EMF Hardened Data Collection Robot Serial # 2946271T
Procedure: Robot will enter the cahamber and collect temperatures and exact radioactivity levels, chambers temperature levels will be lowered to 200º Celsius so that robot entry is possible.
Results: Robot survived and data was extracted, unfortunately one MTF Beta 5 member lost his life in the process of collecting the data from the robot. Data was still corrupted, contact with SCP-4000 is completely impossible.
Analysis: No possible way to get in contact or observe SCP-4000 directly.
