Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4173 Must be kept in a 10 m by 10 m by 10 m steel cube with 10 cm thick walls. Weekly maintenance checks are mandatory. Checks are to be carried out by 3 class D personnel who will record information regarding the state of the containment chamber as well as SCP-4173 itself.

Description: SCP-4173 is a colonial amalgamate composed of assimilated organisms. SCP-4173 will consume other organisms if they come in contact. SCP-4173 will first latch onto a subject using any appendages in the given direction (Arms, legs, spines, etc.) The subject will be held against SCP-4173 until an unknown liquid resembling stomach acid fuses the subject to SCP-4173. Subjects attached to SCP-4173 will enter a damaged mental state, only responding to stimuli such as other life, light, touch, etc. The assimilated organisms often make noises depending on which species. Vocal chord damage renders most organisms to create highly distorted versions of their original sounds. Although not directly connected, the brains of each organism in SCP-4173 will begin to work as a hive mind, preforming basic functions in union. SCP-4173 is capable of basic locomotion depending on which structures have been assimilated. SCP-4173's size depends on its current state, but ranges mostly from 5 to 10 meters in height. Most of SCP-4173's mass is centered, creating a tower-like appearance.
