Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX can make its body liquid at will and so must be kept in a nearly airtight cell to prevent escape. It cannot climb walls so vents are on the ceiling, which is ten meters tall so SCP-XXXX cannot throw portions of its body into them. When SCP-XXXX is being fed, personnel must avoid direct skin contact with SCP-XXXX. The reasons for this will be explained in SCP-XXXX's description.

Description: [Paragraphs explaining the description]
SCP-XXXX is a sapient creature whose body is entirely made up of a dark sludge. The sludge can take on any shape, though its mass and coloration must stay the same, with one exception. It can condense the dark sludge into a white bonelike solid. It will often take on a from that resembles a human but with several decidedly nonhuman creatures, the most notable being the fact it is made of the sludge and the bonelike substances

SCP-XXXX is capable of attaching pieces of itself to a human host. It can then either gain partial control of the host's body or it can hide unnoticed in the host until it is in a position where that piece of its body can attempt to escape. It also gains access to all of its host's memories, as such, personnel with knowledge of SCPs housed in the same facility as SCP-XXXX or any important access codes are not allowed to enter the same room as SCP-XXXX. We have terminated everyone who has touched it in order to prevent it from escaping in these bodies.

Addendum: [Optional additional paragraphs]
SCP-XXXX was discovered on April seventeenth 2016, at [REDACTED]. Satellites showed that there were unexplained energy readings in the area and when ten Foundation personnel went to investigate, they found SCP-XXXX walking around and absorbing local wildlife into itself. When it noticed it was being observed, a small portion of its body detached from it and darted into a nearby rabbit hole. The main part of it faced the personnel watching it. It immediately ran towards the personnel and proceeded to consume and absorb them. Bullets proved ineffective against it. When there was only one Foundation member left, named Joshua, it stopped and spoke to Joshua. It asked Joshua what did the SCP symbol on his armor stand for. Joshua responded that it stood for Secure Contain Protect and that even if SCP-XXXX killed him, it would be captured sooner or later. SCP-XXXX placed a hand on Joshua and gained partial control over him and access to all his knowledge. It then drove them both to the nearest Site and allowed itself to be contained. What it saw in Joshua's head that convinced it to do this is still unknown.

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX

Interviewer: Dr.█████

Foreword: Not very many SCPs willingly imprison themselves here and we decided to try to find out why this one did

Dr.█████: So SPC-XXXX, why did you kill those nine Foundation soldiers and then turn yourself in?

SCP-XXXX: SCP-XXXX? Does that mean that there are at least (XXXX - 1) other SCPs?

Dr.█████: That is not for you to know, now answer the question.

SCP-XXXX: How about you give me files on and allow me to see other SCPs and then I'll answer your questions.

Dr.█████: Thank you.

SCP-XXXX: (confused) Why are you thanking me? I didn't answer your question.

Dr.█████: You just said you wanted knowledge and access to the things we contain here, so I can guess why you willingly came here. I assure you your not getting that access. Though I will ask again. Why did you kill those nine Foundation soldiers?

SCP-XXXX: (unapologetically) I was hungry and I didn't know who they were or even what the Foundation was until I stopped to read the tenth one.

Dr.█████: (trying to hide repulsion) Do you feel any remorse you monster?!?

SCP-XXXX: Not really, no. You seem agitated, Based on Joshua's knowledge, your group was supposed to be cold and professional. What a disappointment.

Dr.█████: (trying hard to remain calm now) I assure you that the SCP Foundation is not disappointment and we will keep you from ever being able to harm anyone else, except maybe D-class personnel. I also have a follow up question, why do you want access to other SCPs? Is there something, or someone specific that you're looking for?

SCP-XXXX: I might as well tell you that I'm not looking for a specific entity or item, but I am looking for a few specific types of SCPs.

Dr.█████: What type?

SCP-XXXX: I'd rather not say.

Dr.█████: Well you will not be getting access to any other anomaly.

SCP-XXXX: Heh, that's what ARC thought. Back when I was ARC-02.

Dr.█████: ARC? We haven't heard of them.

SCP-XXXX: You wouldn't have. It was an organization like yours, just on another planet with another species. They… went out of business a while back.

Dr.█████: Were you responsible?

SCP-XXXX: Their arrogance and reckless risks were far more to blame for their organization, and their species'… conclusion than I was. Besides, (threatenly grinning) I would never do something like that to your planet, I promise.

Dr.█████: I think I'm that's all for today.

Closing Statement: [Small summary and passage on what transpired afterward] SCP-XXXX seemed to enjoy being interviewed. It kept some secrets but it was largely cooperative. However, it is possible it was lying. Perhaps we should use a lie detector next time we interview it.
