Special Containment Procedures:
Its existence is officially known as the concepts. Although their primary state is known to be a concept, they can also exist as a kind of informations or memories in order to spread among the human population. There isn't any effectice method to contained it due to their unpredictable spreading methods. Currently, the only plausible method is to contain them within a functional mind of a living being. While that living being stay within an isolated region, seperated from the outside world.
A facility hidden from the public's knowledge, which also acts as a high security prison is needed to isolate all infected and potental victim from the outside world. The facility used must not have any internet connection at all in order to prevent any possibility for the concepts from spreading to the public through the internet. Any direct or indirect contact with the victims and suspects are strictly prohibited, this includes any act of monitoring the infected victims through the use of CCTV or drones. This is to prevent any personal staff from being exposed to the concepts in any means necessary. Anyone suspected of being exposed to the present of these 'concepts' must be isolated immediately without any excuses. At least one year of isolation is required. Only after surviving for one whole year, one can then declare himself as safe and uninfected.
At least 4 infected person are needed to 'contain' the 4 different 'concepts' at the time, acting as the source for those 'concepts'. Then, another 4 new victim are needed together with 4 completely seperated spaces. Each space will contain one infected person and one new victim, where the new victim is ready to be exposed to one of the 4 'concepts' by the infected person. Every victim who is being exposed to one 'concept' is not allow to be exposed to the others. Past records suggest that whenever there are 2 or more 'concepts' enter a single mind, more 'concepts' of different 'expression' (or symptom) will emerged. This is the only known method how a new 'concept' (source) is created.
This process of infecting new victim needs to repeat every years. Once the cycle breaks, these 'concepts' will randomly find their new victim, appears as some sort of inspiration to content (media) creators, trying to spread itself across the human population.
Description
SCP-XXXX appears to be some sort of information in the first place.
Usually it begins in the mind of someone who is bored or a creator who is desperately in need of an new idea (inspiration) for his work, a new artwork masterpiece. It usually ends up as a music, image, video, or even certain story or melody. But after long research into the history of SCP-XXXX, It is then confirm that it cannot be classified as purely information or memory, but a concept itself. It constantly changes its appearance throughout the history, appears as different entity at a time. Sometime as a music, sometime as an oil paint, sometime as other art work. The only thing which stays in common, allowing the foundation to recognize its very own existance, is the final symptome shown by its victim.
It is known to be highly contagious. It seeds deeply within one's mind even through tiny wispers from a passing stranger, or even a slight look at it's existance even without paying much attention. It will find any means to get into one minds and stay in it, slowly echos within one's skull, grewing intense as days passes by.
The unique thing about the SCP-XXXX is that only one of it's kind will appear at a single time. Once exist, the previous records or work will lost or destroyed without anyone's noticed.
Stage Classification:
The victims which are infected with the 'concepts' are being classified into three distinct stages, known as:
1. Stage one, the passive carrier.
At this stage, the victim appears to be normal. There is no distinct difference between the victims and any other ordinary people. There is no effectife methods of distinguish the victims from the croud of people unless they speak out themself, which is quite impossible as normal people doesn't know the existance of the 4 'concepts'. Therefore they could not tell if they are the one carrying the idea within their head.
2. Stage two, the active source.
As time pass, the victims will gradually think more about the 'concepts'. From time to time music or melody begin to play inside their head, and image appear before their eyes. Whether they want it or not, the 'concepts' will always echo within their head, find a way to prove its very own existance. Till some point, they will unconciously spreads its existance to their surroundings, allowing others to know it.
3. Stage 3, the unstable bomb
The reason it is being known as the unstable bomb is because there is no way of predicting when will the victim start to cause harm to the surrounding people. There is usually a trigger, causing a sudden huge flux in the victim's emotion, causing the victim to act abnormally. Even though there is a trigger, it is still very unpredictable since the trigger is very different for different individual. The longer the victim stay 'unexploded', the greater the impact is once it 'exploded'. At some point (long enough), event which is still unexplainable through modern scientific methods will occurs, claiming the lives of nearby innocents.
Concept Classification:
At the beginning, there is only 2 concepts recorded. Due to certain incidents, some individuals (victims) which previously being exposed to one idea, somehow being expose to the second idea, resulting in the birth of a new 'concept'. At this very moment, there are 4 type of 'concepts' recorded in the foundation's database. The name given to each 'concept' are as follows:
1. SCP-XXXXa: Fear (Original 2)
Victim exposed to this type of 'concept' will suffer extreme hallucination at stage 3. Their mental health will suffer total break down, allowing their fear to take control of themself, If left untreated for some times, they will eventually turn into the thing they fear the most.
2. SCP-XXXXb: Lost (Original 2)
Victim exposed to this type of 'concept' will lose the sense of consequece and rationality. They will become fearless, know no boundary, law or even common sense, resulting in irresponsible behaviour, breaking laws, acting uncontrollable and behave irrationally. At a later stage, they will lose all emotions and out of their minds. They are then technically considered to becoming a beast in constant rampage, losing their humanity or 'human soul'.
3. SCP-XXXXc: Rage
Victim exposed to this type of 'concept' will enrage easily. Similar to 'Fearless', they also act irrationally. But at a later stage, they usually end up being the victim of spontaneous human combustion incident.
4. SCP-XXXXd: Depress
Victim exposed to this type of 'concept' will fall into depression easily. Unlike the other three ideas which usually cause trouble to others and themself even before the final stage, victims for this idea doesn't have much symptoms except having shut in behaviours. But at a later stage, their depression will become highly contagious, affecting other's to be depress as well. This usually end up in a mass suicide incident.
Brief history and current situation:
The records since humanity identify these 'concepts' date back 2000 years ago. Aroud that period of time, they are commonly known as curse, demon's voice, haunted paintings and many more.
Only until around 1600 years ago, humanity manage to contained those 'concepts' within one location. Unfortunately, at year 1735, there is a major outbreak of 'concepts' due to the incident where new incident accidentally created due to two victims being exposed to more that one 'concept'. Multiple 'concepts' within a single mind cause a serious supernatural event, destroying the entire facility. Detail report of this incident is being classified and hide deep inside the foundation's vault.
It takes more than one hundred years, join forces between multiple nations, unimaginable amount of casualties due to the 'execute at all cost' instruction, the foundation finally manage to track down all the 'concepts' and reconfined them within a hidden location.
For hundreds of years, the methods to sustain the population of the infected and the victims remains highly classified. Rumours stating that hundreds of lives are sacrificed each year in order to sustained the healthy population of the victims and the infected in order to prevent these 'concepts' from emerging randomly around the world again.
Currently, advance system has being implement into the new facilities in order to take care of the inhabitants' daily needs.
Until now, the exact location of the facility remain classified to most members of the foundation. All victims used for the infections are documented as deceased before they departed from their original prison. They will be transfer across multiple facilities, constantly changing personal information throughout the duration of a year before actually ariving to the final destination. For every transfering, different crew members will be in charge and no a single person actually knows who they are transferring or the exact purpose of the transferring.
For the staff members station around the facilities, their only order from the highest command is to prevent anything alive from getting out of the facility, includes their co-worker. After one year in service, the another group of staff members will come and take their place. Even though they are no longer needed to guard the facilities, they are not allow to leave and must remain isolated for another year to eliminate any outbreak possibility.
For obvious reason, even under strict isolation, the staff will still given high annual payment and also enjoy great hospitality provided by the Foundation. The only disadvantage is that there are no internet connection and external signal connection at all.
