SCP-9999 is a paperback book measuring 18 cm x 12 cm x 3 cm currently contained in Site-ZYX.
SCP-9999s front cover (see addendum 1) bears the title "Di Lang Veg Arum" (translating to "The Long Way Around" in English). The author is listed as Imi Lichtenfield, best known for his creation of the martial art Krav Maga. However, investigations made into the estate of the late Mr. Lichtenfield have provided no evidence that he was ever involved in the books writing. SCP-9999s back cover is empty except for a paragraph of text outlining the basic premise of the books teachings.

The text of SCP-9999 is dedicated to the instruction of "Di Lang Ver Arum", a form of mixed martial art that is superficially identical in philosophy and technique to Krav Maga. While initially the books talks about the history of Imi Lichtenfield's teachings, as well as detailing basic movements and core principles of the martial art, SCP-Playbook quality of writing begins to degrade noticeably throughout the book, initially appearing as a breakdown in proper grammar and syntax before

SCP-9999s main anomalous properties manifest when a subject reading the book reaches the phrase "iz es tseyt far meyn veg?" (translating to "is it time for my way?" in English), hereafter referred to as SCP-9999-1. Details into experimentation that lead to the identification and initial testing of SCP-9999-1's properties can be found below. Subjects exposed SCP-9999-1, hereafter referred to as SCP-9999-2 are subject to anomalous physical effects. Specifically, SCP-9999-2 will lose conscious control of any limb of their body moving above 15MPH, which will cease movement through three-dimensional space and begin moving through Minkowski spacetime at a rate outside of Standard Linear Time "Safe" parameters¹
, with variations of space-displacement of between .078 centimeters and up to 140 kilometers observed and variations of time-displacement still being researched (see Introduction to Time Travel . Observed SCP-9999-2 instances have described the feeling as jarring, unsettling, and painful, but the affected limbs do not display any cellular damage or net-mass loss usually associated with space-time displacement without a Raychaudhuri field-emitter². However, injury and death of SCP-Playbook-2 instances regularly occurs due to their displacement bring them into contact with dangerous or unsuitable materials (See experiment log below for details)

SCP- was first brought to the Foundation's attention in June 2011, when a number of amateur video recordings originating in San Francisco surfaced that featured detached limbs appearing from thing air to flail or strike and subsequently disappearing. Foundation assets embedded in local private- and public-sector media entities were able to control the dissemination of these videos, while MTF Lambda-5 ("White Rabbits") was brought in to oversee the subsequent investigation as to what was causing these anomalous events. After several months effort interviewing witnesses and investigating leads, MTF Lambda-5 was able to locate SCP-9999 in a covert raid on a meat-packing facility in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, California.
