SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The clocktower containing SCP-XXXX must be seen as condemned to the public to divert attention. Any inconsistencies with the movement of SCP-XXXX must be corrected immediately. The inner mechanical workings of SCP-XXXX is to be checked for signs of rusting or other aging effects. Mechanical clocks displaying the current Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) must be kept on site and at a distance of at least 15 meters from each other at all times to counteract the effects of SCP-XXXX. These clocks are for the purpose of correcting SCP-XXXX after a XXXX-RTD1event.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a clock in Greenwich, England measuring 2.5 meters in radius located at exactly 0o longitude. SCP-XXXX is contained atop a clocktower in █████████ Church, built in 1885 conforming to GMT. SCP-XXXX is normally within near-perfect sync with the aforementioned time and only loses or gains time from mechanical failures.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous property only manifests when the hands of SCP-XXXX are forcefully moved away from their intended position, at which point all devices on Earth that record time, or are capable of doing so mechanically or digitally, move with the hands of SCP-XXXX synchronized to their respective time zone. These events are known as XXXX-RTD events and are capable of disrupting world communications and trade, but can be restored if the correct GMT is reestablished to SCP-XXXX. This anomalous effect can be bypassed if something recording time is not obviously or blatantly a clock. The effect will not change mental interpretations of time, making resolution to a XXXX-RTD event rather easy.
