SCP-XXXX Upon Discovery
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in General Anomalous Storage at Site-██ with Level-3 clearance or higher being required to test with SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a █████ brand EKG (or ECG) Monitor, the model indicates that it was manufactured in the mid to late 2000's (2000-2009) and shows little wear aside from the model number being scratched out. SCP-XXXX exhibits no anomalous properties unless activated. Upon activation SCP-XXXX's screen turns on and displays no anomalous properties, however when a subject's in use of SCP-XXXX it begins to display anomalous properties. When a Subject is in use of SCP-XXXX they are classified as SCP-XXXX-A, upon use of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-A's vitals are displayed on the screen; on various occasions a specialized message will be displayed1. The use of SCP-XXXX allows SCP-XXXX-A's vitals to be fully stabilized, this stabilization of the vitals are based off of the patient's average health, meaning that the immune system isn't strengthened but maintained and any deformities that SCP-XXXX-A was born with cannot be undone either. As stated SCP-XXXX will maintain SCP-XXXX-1's health until SCP-XXXX is deactivated, SCP-XXXX-1 will return to the condition they had before use2. There have been many attempts to research how SCP-XXXX's inner-workings affect the recipient, however there has not been any progress; the utilization of SCP-XXXX is currently limited due to the results of Test #333.

SCP-XXXX: I will try my best to answer them.
Dr.Owens: Who made you, why and how?
SCP-XXXX: I wont answer one of those questions; patient confidentiality is important.
Dr.Owens: And which one is that?
SCP-XXXX Doesn't respond for 30 seconds, Dr.Owens disregards the silence.
Dr.Owens: As for the other two?
SCP-XXXX: Understood, however I do not know how I was made, just my purpose.
Dr.Owens does an audible sigh and continues
Dr.Owens: Well then, why were you made?
SCP-XXXX: To keep my patient alive of course.
Dr.Owens: This isn't going anywhere is it?
