Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP- XXXX is to be kept sedated at all times until it can be determined an effective enclosure can be constructed. If such time as the sedation wears off SCP-XXXX can be tranquilized, however it must be taken by surprise or it will not work. Bullets will not eliminate SCP-XXXX, but they are effective at slowing it down. Poison Gas, and to a lesser degree tear gas, is very effective and will stun SCP-XXXX during which time it is susceptible to tranquilization. Food and water are not needed by SCP-XXXX. Staff should be rotated regularly as those around SCP-XXXX after a brief amount of time will start receiving violent dreams about the first world war involving SCP-XXXX and
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid approximately 1.9 meters in height. SCP-XXXX wears a grey uniform of the Imperial German Army complete with belt, Y-Straps, Ammunition pouches, canteen, breadbag, shovel, bayonet and sheath, holster containing a sidearms, boots and medals. SCP-XXXX also has a Steel helmet of first world war vintage and wears a gas mask covering its entire face, however in previous incidents it has been determined the mask no longer functions.
Attempts to remove the uniform, medals and gear have proven to be impossible as its fused with SCP-XXXX's body despite it all have a fluid movement in previous incidents as if any outfit would. The grenades appear to no longer function, or at least have not been utilized in any of the previous incidents. The sidearm contained within the holster is impossible to remove and the holster flap cannot even be opened. The sidearm has been observed used in prior incidents, however quite infrequently.
The main weapons of choice are kept within foundation archives on site. The main preferred weapon as seen in prior incidents is a 60 centimeter long wooden club which has been affixed with spikes. The wood of the club has been heavily beaten and old blood stains are visible on the club and the spikes. A machine gun, which is identified by writing upon it as an MP18, was also recovered and used in prior incidents, SCP-XXXX seems to prefer the club and in the prior incidents has only used the MP18 infrequently.
SCP-XXXX and the attire and weapons are in surprisingly good shape considering it is believed that it has been buried since 1918. no rust is observed on any of the metal items nor is any rot apparent within the attire and what little of SCP-XXXX is visible.
Close proximity to SCP-XXXX can be a hazard as when within close proximity of SCP-XXXX the person will have vivid and sometimes violent dreams from the first world war which involve SCP-XXXX. The more time and closer the proximity to SCP-XXXX the more vivid and violent the dreams will be until its even possible for the person to die in their sleep.
SCP-XXXX has proven to be hostile whenever awake as observed in past incidents and if awake will work to kill any living object it comes into contact with .SCP-XXXX has also been noted to have way above average strength and can tear or kick through most metal or concrete, however it has been observed unable to destroy some materials. SCP-XXXX does not respond well to speech in english or French, however appears to get somewhat more peaceful when spoken to in German and in one prior incident an unarmed scientist was spared when he plead for his life in German. SCP-XXXX is believed to be an intelligent being that is fully aware of its actions, it is unknown if its capable of communication or if it chooses not to communicate
Update as of 5-4-2003: see attached medical report with regards to testing done which determined SCP-XXXX's physical status and also answered the communication question.
Addendum:
A sketch of SCP-XXXX provided to Foundation field agents by a Local man who had witnessed the attacks, September 16th 1978
Incident Report: 9-15-1978- 9-16-1978
First contact with SCP-XXXX was made by a french road crew when the crew stumbled into a long forgotten first world war battlefield. During the digging for the new road the crew unearthed several bodies which had been in the ground since the war, believed to be still where they died. when excavating one crater SCP-XXXX emerged and killed the four crewmen within the vicinity by beating three of them into a mushy pulp and shooting the last one with a machine gun, this information was relayed by the last surviving crew man who ran away as soon as SCP-XXXX emerged, and by the physical evidence on the recovered bodies. SCP-XXXX then began it's rampage across the countryside which lasted until foundation personnel found and tranquilized it. The rampage left sixteen dead, twelve were beat to death by the club and four were gunned down by SCP-XXXX's machine gun. The foundation took SCP-XXXX into custody and is in the process of transporting it to the states to begin the work, I will conduct the interview myself tomorrow. A drawing was also produced by a local while describing the incident to Foundation staff and it will be attached to this report.

The club recovered from the September 15th/16th incident
Item log of recovered items for foundation storage from SCP-XXXX, September 15th/16th 1978 incident
- one machine gun, writing on it states MP18.1 System Schmeisser with a serial number of 7,512. Writing on the side of the weapon states Theodor Bergamnn Abt. Waffenbau Suhl. Serial number matches on all observed external pieces.
- one club, 60 centimeters in length covered in spikes
Incident Report 9-17-1978
SCP-XXXX was transported to the United States for storage in a foundation facility. It was allowed to wake up so entry interview could be conducted. When SCP-XXXX awoke it instantly tore through the restraint straps as if they were paper and killed Dr. Johnson with its bare hands. SCP-XXXX then killed the guards and foundation staff unloading its weapons and then resumed its rampage. Attemps to tranqualize it were found to be ineffective, and fifteen foundation members were killed before it was tranquilized, this time being shot in the back which startled SCP-XXXX and tranquilized it, perhaps it can only be tranquilized if taken by surprise? SCP-XXXX was taken into custody and shackled, interview will be attempted again tomorrow with more precautions

Dr. Gary Fletcher
Incident Report 9-18-1978
SCP-XXXX was allowed to reawaken, this time in shackles. Dr. Fletcher attempted to conduct the interview, however it once again tore out of its restraints with ease and promptly killed Dr. Fletcher with ease. Once more it recovered its weapons from the archive and was seen utilizing the machine gun more this time than it had done in the prior incidents. Twenty Six foundation staff members were killed with twelve of them gunned down and the rest beat into messy pulps by the club. SCP-XXXX was tranquilized this time when an improvised blow dart shot a dart into its arm. I have gone ahead and made the command decision that SCP-XXXX is to be kept tranquilized at all times as it is a severe safety hazard to foundation personnel. I have set up a tranquilizing schedule with strict time constraints which cannot be missed. SCP-XXXX was not observed within a multi day period needing to eat or drink water and thus it is believed by myself and the other doctors that food or water is not needed to sustain it. future research will be done with great caution

Dr. Jeff Hanson
Observation Report 2-18-1979
I have conducted a series of tests on SCP-XXXX within the last few days at the request of Dr. Hanson. SCP-XXXX is an interesting specimen given as the medals upon his chest are unable to be removed nor even a button on his uniform cannot be undone. The reason for this is unsure though it seems through some reason it is fused with his body. Researchers have identified the awards. the ribbon through his second buttonhole is that of a 1914 Iron Cross Second class. On its left side approximately just under the breast area where a pocket would be is a 1914 Iron cross first class and under it is a Black wound badge, next to the wound badg is a badge that has a skull with crossed grenades on it with the word Stosstruppen above it, the researchers have identified this as a Stormtrooper badge which identifies SCP-XXXX as likely once being a stormtrooper. The researchers have also informed me that SCP-XXXX's rank as indicated on the uniform is a private with the numbers 126 on the shoulders. The researcher have informed me this indicated that it was in Infantry Regiment 126 during the first world war. I Suggest more research is conducted involving SCP-XXXX and its background. Also since performing the observations on SCP-XXXX I have been having vivid dreams about SCP-XXXX and the first world war with each visit resulting in stronger dreams, I do not know the reason for this.

Diary entry for Dr. Jeff Hanson 5-19-1979
I cant help but feel unnerved by SCP-XXXX, granted its penchant for danger is quite known due to the incidents that caused and happened after its capture. I will admit at first I wasn't impressed by it as i have seen many Entities in my time with the foundation including ones far more dangerous. I mostly wrote it off as just another entity caused by xy and z so I felt researching it would be of little interest and I have barely seen it. A few nights ago I was tempted to go and look at it in person and the experience was odd, I can't explain it but as soon as I entered the room I just hate an overwhelming sense of hatred eminating from the creature that lay strapped to the table in front of me. It was almost as if despite being asleep it was awake, the closer I got the more hate i could feel before I had as much as I could and I left the room. The last few nights after my visit I dreamed of the first world war quite vividly and SCP-XXXX was in each dream. I have yet to have an experience like it and I'm curious to try and find out if others within close proximity have had similar issues. I am aware that Dr. Slocum has been having dream issues as he mentioned it in one of his reports, It could be why he has been acting more unusual the last few days, maybe I should talk to him.

its everywhere…..i see it….sometimes in day, sometimes night, I see it now…STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!, hes gone but for how long. my sleep…..the planes….the explosions…. there it is again, the German, my wife thinks I'm crazy but I'm not its there…….it's there
the last entry and writing for Dr. Jeremiah Slocum from July 7th 1979
Diary entry for Dr. Jeff Hanson 7-11-1979
I have been unable to write in my diary for a few days now as things have been hectic here. a few nights ago, on the night of July 8th, Dr. Jeremiah Slocum mysteriously died in his sleep. This ordinarily would have been written off due to Dr. Slocum's medical history except an autopsy showed trauma on the tissue that is consistent with gunshot wounds. The investigation in the house and interview's with Dr. Slocum's widow have proven to be just as odd, he appeared to have slowly descended into madness according to his widow with her claiming often he would be heard pleading for his life in his sleep and occasionally he would look around the room as if h saw something, one time he apparently asked her if she had seen the German and she was very confused as nothing had been seen. His private notebook contained a lot of gibberish talking about the german and the first world war and his office was covered with drawings of SCP-XXXX, I am indeed providing an improved rotation schedule in light of this recent information.

Note to facility personnel from the head of the facility, Dr. Jeff Hanson 7-13-1979
Fellow coworkers, I am sure many of you have heard of the fate of Dr. Jeremiah Slocum at this point. In light of this and the following investigations some new rules are to be carried out involving SCP-XXXX
- No one is allowed to be near SCP-XXXX for more than 12 hours within 2 weeks
- if dreams involving SCP-XXXX happens this is to be reported to your supervisor immediately
- if any of your coworkers start acting erratically you are to report it immediately
these rules may seem odd, but they are in place for your safety

The machine gun, identified as an MP18, from the September 15th - 18th 1978 incidents
Weapon Test Report 7-14-1983
I have finally received approval from Dr. Hanson to run tests on SCP-XXXX's weapons recovered during the September 15-18th 1978 incidents. The test was conducted by myself and two assistants. The first weapon tested was the machine gun, identified as MP18 per the receiver, on paper targets. The test was a massive failure as the magazine was unable to be removed from the weapon and the bolt would not movie or function, even the trigger would not budge and all the weapon appeared to me to be is a giant paperweight, despite being wielded with great skill by SCP-XXXX in the prior incidents
The Club was also a massive failure, it felt its proper weight and when touched by hand the spikes are incredibly sharp, however when swung into a watermelon it just lightly bounced off like a piece of foam.
More tests in the labratory are recommended for these items given how they do not match their observed efficiancy from the prior incidents.

Incident Report 12-16-1985
last night the tranquilization schedule was not followed due to an error in communication between the foundation technicians resulting in the technician scheduled to tranquilize SCP-XXXX at 21:30 hours being ten minutes late. This error resulted in SCP-XXXX waking up and promptly breaking out of the restraints and going on a rampage throughout the facility. SCP-XXXX recovered its weapons from the archived fifteen minutes after breaking out and promptly used them to kill foundation personnel. SCP-XXXX was shot multiple times during the incident and the bullets only succeeding in slowing it down, tear gas was deployed as a last desperate measure by a foundation guard and it slowed SCP-XXXX to a crawl. Remaining personnel used cleaning products on hand to create Mustard Gas which was then deployed against SCP-XXXX which stopped it entirely, it was then tranquilized while stunned from the gas and returned to its holdings. 45 personnel were killed during the incident, it is now recommended to keep a small stock of Mustard gas on hand in case of such future incidents.

Diary entry for Dr. Jeff Hanson 12-29-1991
Well I cant believe I made it, after all the incidents. I will be retiring in 3 days and I have been informed that Dr. Hiroki Shujumi will be taking over for me in charge of the facility. I really hope he knows what hes doing, I have only worked with him the past few years and while he seems like hes a bright scientist, he seems to not fully comprehend the danger that SCP-XXXX would poise if it wakes up, he was not here when the last incident happened and I'm afraid that loosened standards could lead to a major incident, I guess the best I can do is prepare some notes and pass them on and hope they are followed. I assume my superiors have made the correct decision and all will be well, I guess i get to focus on my life after SCP-XXXX and what to do next.

Incident Report 6-18-1998
SCP-XXXX woke up last night when the 17:30 sedation was missed due to a power outage taking the doors out of commission and the generator was not up to standard due to poor maintenance. SCP-XXXX promptly broke out of its enclosure and recovered the weapons from the archive. This was the deadliest awakening yet claiming the life of 68 Foundation personnel, however there are a few interesting notes from the incident. For the first time SCP-XXXX was observed utilizing the sidearms kept in the holster on its belt. The bullet fired out moved in a pattern that science states is impossible as it appeared to go where SCP-XXXX wanted it to and it killed eight people in one shot, however it does not seem to be the most efficient as after its usage SCP-XXXX moved slower for awhile and sort of limped for half an hour after it which leads us to believe it injures it for awhile when it is utilized. The other note of interest is SCP-XXXX spared a laboratory technician who was unarmed after the technician pleaded for his life in German. SCP-XXXX was subdued when a laboratory technician drew its attention and when it went to kill him a guard jumped out of the air vent and put two hypodermic needles loaded with tranquilizer in the back of its neck. Maintenance will be observed even more thoroughly including with third party contractors now and guards will receive refresher more often as part of the high death count appears to have been a sense of ease around SCP-XXXX with many not realizing its true potential for danger as most if not all the personnel have not been here the last time it woke up and Dr. Hanson was the one really keeping on top of the training and it has been slacking since he retired.

Dr. Hiroki Shujumi
Note from administration to all employees 6-28-1998
Ladies and gentlemen, after a lengthy investigation we have decided to remove Dr. Hiroki Shujumi as head of the facility effective immediately. Poor training and maintenance are believed to have been major causes of the mass loss of life with the incident from June 18th and as such more training refreshers and training courses will begin immediately along with more thorough maintenance logs and supervision. The new head of the facility is Dr.Phillip Carter.
Best wishes team
Medical Report 5-4-2003
I was asked by Dr. Carter to run a full set of labs on SCP-XXXX. The first thing that was done was a blood draw. The blood that was extracted was a pitch black color as opposed to a healthy red color. When tested the blood contained very high amounts of Arsenic, Mercury, lead which is consistant with soil samples from former first world war battlefields and would not sustain any form of known life. There was also another unidentifiable element in the blood which we could not find any known matches with despite heavy testing.
Medical tests on SCP-XXXX itself showed a human skeleton which has taken heavy amounts of abuse with many formerly broken bones that healed over and heavy indications of bullet holes that healed over. The respiratory exams performed had the most peculiar results as it was observed the lungs on SCP-XXXX are completely destroyed and little more than shapeless decimated lumps. The other airways have almost entirely collapsed or have been damaged beyond any notion of repair. further tests have shown massive muscular trauma and damage which by all laws of medicine, should not work at all.
The tests with the airway and muscles also confirmed a theory that SCP-XXXX is physically incapable of communicating. The vocal cords are completely destroyed and the surrounding airways are decimated beyond description making vocal communication nothing more than a hopeful dream.
We hope to conduct more tests in the future when medical equipment becomes more advanced, but our conclusion is that SCP-XXXX should not function.

History Report 10-9-2011
An extensive background search has been conducted with what is known on SCP-XXXX and it is believed some imformation has been found. Researchers have been able to locate A stormtrooper private that was with Infantry Regiment 126 which fits all the known information of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX's actual name appears to be Private [Data removed per request of the German Government] who was born January 19th 1894, Pvt [Redacted] joined the service in the outbreak of the first world war in Agusut 1914 and he spent the next few years in various battles with IR 126. Records indicate in March 1916 he became part of something called the Übermenschen project. The service records are mostly censored at this point despite how old they are and ecven information on the Übermenschen project itself is missing with the governmet claiming most of those files were destroyed in an April 10th 1945 bombing raid which set fire to the archives destroying a lot of information. The last bit of information on Private [redacted] is that he was listed as Missing in Action after a British attack August 23rd 1918 at Hénin sur Cojeul which is reasonable close to where SCP -XXXX was located in 1978.

A photo found in the archives during the research process. It has been confirmed to indeed be SCP-XXXX during it's natural life. Unknown date 1918
Incident Report 11-17-18
We built a new enclosure for SCP-XXXX based on material it was observed as being unable to break through during past incidents as an alternative to the labor required for 24 hour sedation and it was allowed to wake up inside the new enclosure. SCP-XXXX tore through the material and went on another rampage. It obtained its weapons from the archives and killed eighteen foundation personnel until the stash of mustard gas was used to stun it and it was tranquilized. Further tests are indeed needed to determine what materials it cannot break, however it is believed we are on the right path as it took longer to break out of this enclosure than during any of its other incidents.

Medical Report 3-13-2019
A more advanced set of labs was requested by Dr. Carter. my team and I conducted medical tests with more modern equipment. the results mirrored the results of the May 4th 2003 tests performed by myself. This time though in addition to the standard labs we ran some brain tests and received interesting results. Despite being Sedated the whole test SCP-XXXX was having brain wave activity way above the standard levels for even a person who is fully awake after a good night of sleep. Certain stimuli effected the results with speech in English resulting in more negative brain wave effects while speech in German and first world war era music were found to generate positive brain wave activity. The brain activity indicates that even though SCP-XXXX may be physically sedated it is never truly asleep or sedated. Some of the Doctors believe this activity and the negative reaction to English could be an explanation for the known dream phenomena that goes along with prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX with the presence of some people just being enough to anger it even more causing a shorter duration for the dreams to start on some personnel than others, I however am unconvinced of this theory. we hope to conduct more labs in the near future.
