SCP-5571 out of containment for testing
Item #: SCP-5571
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5571 is to be kept in a 15" x 8" x 11" laminated glass vault with an installed 6-digit code number pad. The vault is stored inside a 4m x 4m x 10m concrete room with a tempered class window on the right wall of the room door entrance. Staff personal with Level 2 Clearance are allowed for the displacement of the SCP Item for testing purposes or for containment relocation. Physical contact of SCP-5571 without a standardized foundation heavy-duty rubber glove protection worn is strictly prohibited outside of testing zones.
Instances of SCP-5571-2 after testing are to be kept locked in storage in Site-214 guarded by two foundation security guards. Personal with Level 2 clearance are permitted to access SCP-5571-2 but are restricted from providing the items with ammunition without permission from the site director. Attempts to obtain SCP-5571-2 under violent intents are to be detained and/or terminated.
SCP-5571-3's persona can only be contained if it does not leave its replicated body. SCP-5571-3 is to be held in a residential cell with common household items. The cell it to only be reserved for SCP-5571-3 if it wishes to stay in it's current body. No containment is required if the subject decides to leave its body via self termination. Through this process SCP-5571 is to be collected from SCP-5571-3 after any termination.
Description: SCP-5571 is a Railroad Monkey Wrench with plates made out of wooden oak bolted on both sides of the handle. The majority of metal the wrench is made of are layers of steel alloy with a dark-brown color pallet. The wrench measures approximately 12 inches at length. The head of the wrench has a width of 3.5 inches long with a depth of 2.25 inches and the handle has a width and depth of 2 inches at least. The shaft itself had a depth of 1.875 inches with the same width as the handle. On the right side of the handle has an engraving that looks to have been hand carved with a sharp object. The engraving written is described "The Heart of The Engineer - 1860", implying that the wrench was crafted two years after the invention of the Railroad Monkey Wrenches which was around 1858. The creator of SCP-5571 is still unknown.
SCP-5571 itself has an anomalous ability which allows the item to reorganize the inside structures of any electronic or mechanical devices and transforms said devices into functional sentry turrets, designated as SCP-5571-2. Multiples of SCP-5571-2 can be constructed at once. This anomaly can only be activated when SCP-5571 is properly wielded by a person wearing proper glove protection and that it makes any contact to said devices. The size and forms of SCP-5571-2 varies depending on the size of the device it's previous form was. Devices that are less than 20 inches tall and 15 inches wide will not be affected by this anomaly. The holder of SCP-5571 can have full control of SCP-5571-2 when built, although oppose no threat. SCP-5571-2 although are functional sentry turrets, ammunition is not included in the transformation of the device meaning it must be manually reloaded in order to use their functions. SCP-5571-2's inside mechanics accepts common sentry rounds as ammunition no matter the size of the sentry.
SCP-5571's second anomaly regards to how the wielder holds the item. When a personal wields SCP-5571 without protection over the hands, the subject are instantly put in a state of intense headache, lasting around 30-50 seconds and are unable to detach themselves from SCP-5571. The body of the subject will then start to multiply itself into a replica of the original host within 20-30 seconds.
The replicated body, designated as SCP-5571-3, is given full sentience and a conscious once awakened. SCP-5571 will be relocated from the original host into the hands of the replica. The original host's body will retreat back to its original form with no dysfunctional organs in the body. SCP-5571-3 will copy every physical aspect the original host had except for the original eyes. The eyes of the replica are covered by a pair of grey welding goggles materialized during the transformation process. The source of the goggles are unknown and is made impossible to identify the subject's eyes.
SCP-5571-3, although has the same appearance, has a completely different personality compared to the original. SCP-5571-3 will have the persona of a 24 year old man with a English British accent and will stay the same whether the subject originally was a male or female, referring themselves as the "Engineer". SCP-5571-3 also obtains the ability to create turrets with SCP-5571 except that SCP-5571-2 made by SCP-5571-3 will automatically have ammunition loaded in the turrets, titling them a possible threat. SCP-5571-3 can be terminated as a normal being but it's persona will return to the next replica withholding the same memories from it's previous life.
Addendum 5571.1 SCP-5571 was discovered in an abandoned run down grey pole barn located in ██████, Texas. Reports from the area describes unusual mechanical sound waves and the loud clangs of metal resembling a hammer and an anvil coming from the structure. The Foundation took notice of this anomaly on 07/19/20██, leading to Agent Fillmore along with the MTF to undergo an investigation.
Infantry of the abandoned barn led to the discover of a number of SCP-5571-2 which were spread around the room. The materials of the SCP-5571-2s were shown to have characteristics of a variety of kitchen appliances, such as one made from an oven and another made from a dish washer. One of the instances of SCP-5571-2 exposes parts of a Red Classic Chevrolet due to the large size and the design of the turret. Upon further investigations, a body of a 50 year old 275 lb Caucasian male holding SCP-5571 on their right hand was discovered dead under a pile of wooden crates in the corner of the barn.
Retrieval of SCP-5571, without any knowledge of its anomalous properties, led to the replication of Agent Fillmore and the recreation of SCP-5571-3. SCP-5571-3's violent first impressions was responded to the termination of the hostile. Agent Fillmore later recovered from the experience with no damages left on his body. Due to the circumstances, SCP-5571 was recovered in a plastic container box and was brought back to the foundation for further examinations.
Addendum 5571.2: SCP-5571 was brought for testing under the supervision of Dr. Shireman.
Addendum 5571.3: After one month of experimenting with SCP-5571, an interview was requested by Dr. Shireman to Site Director █████ for SCP-5571-3. Request for an interview was approved.
