Special Containment Procedures If any Foundation personnel spots SPC-XXXX-a or believes they are under SCP-XXXX's affects, they are to immediately report it to the closest Facility and a MTF squad will be deployed. MTF are to search shopping centers no less than ██km away from initial contact. If a store contains SCP-XXXX-a MTF are to set up a perimeter around the location and monitor anyone attempting to purchase SCP-XXXX-a. If so subject is to be detained and administered class B amnesiacs. If any deaths are confirmed to be caused by SCP-XXXX-a then a cover up story will be made detailing a new illness.
Once stores have been cleared and no instances of SCP-XXXX-a remain, MTF are to check the stores for records detailing shipments of SCP-XXXX-a. No stores have come back with a record of any shipments being ordered or delivered As of yet 1 store had a record of delivery, see addendum-XXXX-1.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a commercial that on occasion will broadcast to North American television. SCP-XXXX plays out like a normal allergy medication advertisement, describing the benefits of ███████ brand allergy medicine. Near the end of SCP-XXXX it takes a sudden turn in tone. During the "fine print" of the advertisement recommending doctor approval, the narrator will start to scream at the viewer. Several different iterations have been recorded but most follow the same principle of telling the viewer to not call emergency services after ingestion.
After SCP-XXXX finishes most convenience stores or other major shopping locations within the area will have a stock of ███████ brand allergy medication in pill form, hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-a. If a subject views SCP-XXXX they will attempt to seek out SCP-XXXX-1 and purchase a bottle. After ingestion the subject will most likely die without medical attention as chemical analysis shows SCP-XXXX-a to be compromised as a mix of cyanide, arsenic, mercury, and tetrodotoxin.
Subjects under the influence of SCP-XXXX do not show aggression in their attempts to obtain SCP-XXXX-a, and do not appear in any sort of rush. Due to this it is theorized that many afflicted subjects will go unnoticed for long periods of time, making total containment difficult. It is however, possible to nullify SCP-XXXX's effect using class B amnesiacs. This has a success rate of roughly 90%.
Addendum-XXXX-1: After MTF had discovered one store with a record of delivery of SCP-XXXX-1. The address belonged to an old factory that had shutdown in 19██. After a brief search of the factory,
MTF confirmed that it had long since abandoned and was not in use. The factory is to be under surveillance to watch for suspicious activities. As of yet no incidents have occurred at the factory.
