SCP Idea - "Deep End"

It consists of a dark blue, slime-like substance that can extend its body to catch its prey. It is thought to consist of mainly water. Further investigations show that it can be divided into pieces as small as [REDACTED] cm in diameter and still survive. Tests after the discovery of this characteristic were done with cut-up pieces. It is also not a carbon-based life form suggesting that it might be alien. SCP "Deep End" lives at the bottom of any water source, consuming anything that it can reach through the water. According to experiments done by Dr.██████, as long as H2O molecules are present, SCP "Deep End" can survive indefinitely. Tests include saltwater at different salinity levels, water with high toxicity and water with different chlorine levels, all resulting in the SCP surviving. Tests were also done with fluids containing water such as blood. "Deep End" managed to "live" for around 2 hours before hardening. After it was placed in the water again no change was observed, it was considered dead and was incinerated. SCP "Deep End" must be stored in a tank that is 5m, 5m, 10m. No personnel lower than clearance level 2 is allowed near the specimens at all times.

Backstory:
SCP "Deep End" was first found offshore of Japan after an investigation of a recent shipwreck of [REDACTED] by divers. Human bones (with no tissue attached at all) were found which were thought to be of the crew which was later proven with DNA testing. However, the human tissue couldn't have decayed that fast so a perimeter search was done to find more clues to what might have happened. After the search, an unknown body of a slimy blue substance was found at the bottom of the ocean. Authorities were alerted for the cleanup of the blue substance (thought to be gunk) to clean the ocean from contaminants. Divers sent down by the cleanup were killed after getting close to SCP "Deep End". How they were killed is unknown. The only eye witness was Mr. Ichiro ████████ who was one of the cleanup crew members on the boat described the SCP as "dark, arm looking things grabbing the divers and pulling them down". After this incident, the SCP Foundation was contacted. When the SCP personnel arrived at the scene, SCP "Deep End" was gone. Another perimeter search proved unsuccessful and the operation was called off by Prof.██████. Months passed without any trace of "Deep End". However, some human bones started washing up the coast of China at an unspecified location. Upon yet another search, SCP "Deep End" was found again. This time SCP Foundation was contacted immediately and SCP "Deep End" was secured with a 3-hour recovery mission and now resides in the SCP facilities.
