Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locked box inside room A-21 of site 33. A daily check must be carried out to ensure that SCP-XXXX has not moved from its previous position. SCP-XXXX is under no circumstances to be introduced to a device capable of playing compact discs. SCP-XXXX should not leave site 33 unless permission has been granted by Level 4 personnel.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an ordinary compact disc housed in a case approximately 11.9 cm in width. The cover depicts the album cover of Swedish Death Metal band ████ ██████'s album █████████. It has a sticker on the front stating it was purchased for $12.00 at the now closed ████ in █████. SCP-XXXX exhibits no anomalous properties until played.
Approximately 12 seconds into the song 1 titled █████ ████ the volume will begin to inexplicably raise, past the point of credibility regardless of the capabilities of the audio system. It has been observed that SCP-XXXX effects all subjects who hear the first note of it, even after leaving the area or being fitted with a sound-blocking apparatus. At one (1) minute and thirty one (31) seconds the decibel level settles at 132. It seems that at this level subjects are in a state of anguish and are unable to formulate coherence. The subject will fall to the floor and be unable to get up.
As song 2 (███████) begins subject's focus will be drawn to the nearest solid surface as SCP-XXXX-1 begins to manifest, and it phases through the solid surface regardless of any other object that is behind the surface. SCP-XXXX-1 is a 2.1 meter male humanoid SCP-XXXX-1 has a muscular build, weighs approximately 320 pounds, has a long braided beard, is clad in armour, and carries a large battle axe.
SCP-XXXX-1 will not begin moving until the first notes of song 3 ███ ██ █████, at this point it will pace around the area and survey its surroundings. As soon as the chorus begins SCP-XXXX-1 will unfasten a horn from around its chest and blow into it (It is unknown if it produces sound or not as all subjects are still in a state of complete sensory overload). The room will suddenly begin to fill with the waters of a violent nordic sea and SCP-XXXX-2, a longboat of unknown measurements carrying several other vikings will rise up from the ground picking up SCP-XXXX-1. Subjects will also be picked up and immediately be tied to the mast of SCP-XXXX-2.
Song 4 ███ ███████ ███ will start just as another longboat of indeterminate size crashes into the hull of SCP-XXXX-2. Several other viking warriors seemingly of a different faction will leap onto SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-1 will singlehandedly bludgeon each warrior while avoiding all attempts at being struck.
Song 5 █████ ████ █████ begins just as the last of the other vikings falls. In most cases the final severed head will roll to where the subjects are bound causing SCP-XXXX-1 to become aware of the subjects. During the song's climax, which begins at three (3) minutes and forty-two (42) seconds SCP-XXXX-1 will slowly begin to walk towards the subjects dragging its axe in tow. At this point most subjects have been shown to snap out of their state of shock and find that they can no longer see any remnant of the area they were in.
SCP-XXXX-1 reaches the subjects during the beginning of Song 6 ███ ███ ██ ███ ███████. SCP-XXXX-1 will very slowly raise its axe high above its head and bring it down upon each subject's head one by one, killing them instantly.
Song 7 ██ █████ █████ █████ will begin and SCP-XXXX-2 will begin to sink into the ocean, as the ocean sinks away, and SCP-XXXX-1 seemingly melts into the ground. The area will return to its normal state and the compact disc will eject from the player.
It has been observed that even if the player is stopped it will have no effect on the sounds, timings, or visualisations the subjects experience (see Addendum XXXX.1). The only exception to be found thus far is with deaf subjects, deaf subjects are completely unaffected by the sensory overload and have consistently been shown to survive the experience. When exposed to SCP-XXXX a deaf subject is free to walk and observe, but never become noticed by SCP-XXXX-1. Deaf subjects have been used to compile all information known about SCP-XXXX.
