Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX must be contained within a locked soundproof glass container, located at site [To be decided]. SCP-XXXX must be kept from a minimum 5 meter distance of any sound amplifying mechanisms or comunication devices directly connected to above D-class personnel during testing, as to avoid the creation of instances of SCP-XXXX-1.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a seashell of the Neverita Duplicata sea snail species, that has an unnexplained blue coloration to both its exterior and interior. SCP-XXXX seems to be unaffected by aging, as well as other forms of defilement, and has maintainned a glossy, imaculate appearence, despite no efforts of the foundation to preserve it as such.
SCP-XXXX emmits what has been described to be "a faint familiar whisper" from its underside cavity. The sound produced by SCP-XXXX has seemed to cause an urge to listen to said sound directly from its soruce, SCP-XXXX, in any subjects within a 5 meter range. When such an action is performed successfully, the subject that listened to SCP-XXXX's sound directly (Hereinafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) will reffer to itself as a slug of the Neverita Duplicata species, and claim to be the current owner and resident of SCP-XXXX. If more than one instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is present at once, the units of SCP-XXXX-1 will act as a single organism, operating in a hive-mind like fashion.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have shown abnormal precision in locating shores and beaches near their current location, as well as an equally abnormal desire to enter into sea without proper equipment, often times leading to death by drowning. Furthermore, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will refuse to feed in anything other than Bivalvia class molluscs. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have shown no dificulty in performing tasks that cannot be performed by regular gastropods, such as walking, talking, and others. When questioned about its uncommon abilities, SCP-XXXX-1 entirely disregards the subject.
