Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP XXXX, all attempts to contain it have been unsuccessful. However, constant screening of videos by the TYPE-III Foundation Web Analysis Bot OMICRON-40-PSI is in effect. This screening’s purpose is to identify videos with qualities of SCP XXXX-2. Viewers who watch videos identified as instances of SCP XXXX-2 are to be brought immediately to the closest observation post for SCP XXXX.
Once collected, observation staff are to determine if subjects have typical XXXX-A induced symptoms. Those deemed to be affected by SCP XXXX-2 are to be administered with Class-A Amnestics and then promptly released, their IP’s blocked from viewing SCP XXXX indefinitely.
Description: SCP XXXX is an account on the video streaming website “You-Tube” under the name of “TheVolgun”. Currently at 1██,███ subscribers at the time of writing, SCP XXXX’s main content is that of educational videos to do with the SCP foundation, along with dozens of SCP’s within the foundation. The educational videos, which are not unlike the legitimate videos used for staff induction, are presented by a English speaking man referring to himself as Dr/researcher M█████, no staff member of that name currently works at the Foundation at the time of writing.Dr █████ from now on will have the designation SCP XXXX-1. SCP XXXX-1 refers to the audience as if they are staff on training, explaining SCP’s and Foundation procedures in a format not unlike official Foundation documentation.
Unlike most of the website’s content, this account seems entirely independent of the main servers, with attempts to track down it’s IP leading to several ████████ ██████ in New York (USA), London (UK) and Preston (UK), attempts to interact with the suspected sources have led to the [REDACTED] of 2 MTF teams.
At the time of writing, all attempts to block SCP XXXX from public viewing have been met with failure.
Addendum 049.1: Discovery of SCP XXXX-2
During March 13th 2018, a Caucasian man, 44 years of age, later identified as Michal ██████ of [REDACTED] managed to break into the entrance zone of Site ██ in an attempt to seemingly “rescue” SCP 2967 Upon investigation on how a civilian both found out about, and managed to track down the location of SCP 2967, it was discovered the civilian had recently watched a video released by SCP XXXX on the on SCP 2967. Upon code analysis of the video, researchers discovered hidden audio messages embedded over 100000 Hz outside of the typical human hearing range.
After several tests on D-Class personnel with no knowledge of SCP 2967, it was determined these subliminal audio messages had caused classified information about SCP 2967’s location and internal site security at said location.
Since then ██ similar incidents have occurred at multiple sites, the effects of the SCP 2967 video being present in videos to do with several other SCP’s including SCP ████ , SCP ████ and SCP ████. Any video showing properties that led to incident XXXX-A are to be designated SCP XXXX-2.
Containment procedures and Object Class have been updated accordingly.
