Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4783 has never been captured, but there have been attempts. There have been a total of ██ attempts. Each of the attempts has ended in a complete loss of life, not only from our agents, but also from the local inhabitants. The first attempt was in 19██, and resulted in a loss of 20 of our top agents, and the almost complete destruction of ███ █████████.
Description: SCP-4783, otherwise known as "The Scarlet Beast", has very little known. What is known, is that it shows up during events of high body count. Usually in battlefields, and during tragedies. The oldest recorded siting of the organism, dates back to the Ottoman sack of the Byzantine city of Constantinople. A brief description was given, and was recently found in the excavation of <Redacted> . The description describes the organism in varying sizes, ranging from the size of a man, or about 1 and a half meters, to upwards of 5 meters, towering over the battlefield. Many Byzantine soldiers described it having long protrusions from its skull, but not horns, and having wings made of the bones and weapons of those it has killed. The Ottoman soldiers have a different description, saying the organism stands at about the same height, but instead of looking like a demon, they described it as, "An angel sent to bless the battle, with its wings of death, but only for the Byzantine dogs, and with a sword made of the finest steel, looking almost like bones." . The beast would tear through the Byzantine soldiers, and once the Ottomans breached the walls of Constantinople, the Organism had created a barrier of an unknown material, looking glossy and blood red, and would flow freely, spilling over and devouring any Ottoman soldiers that try and breach it.
More recent descriptions have it standing at about 3-4 meters tall, and with the same protrusions from the skull. But the protrusions have been described as "The Arms and Hands of Women and children, still moving, with flesh still attached."
As stated earlier, there have been few sightings of SCP-4783, but said sightings have been around large tragedies and wars. There were multiple confirmed sightings of SCP-4783 around █████████ and other concentration camps. The survivors of said camps have stated that they beleived they saw it in the form of a Nazi Officer, Nazi doctors,
