Special Containment Procedures: As of revision #4, SCP-XXXX is granted access to the provisioned space deemed safe by the ethics committee. At least one D-Class personnel must be present at all times to supervise SCP-XXXX's wandering as well as care for SCP-XXXX's basic necessities. Should SCP-XXXX leave the provisioned safe zone, the assigned D-Class is to coax SCP-XXXX back to its living quarters by making various offers and bargains. VIOLENCE IS NOT AUTHORIZED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Should SCP-XXXX still choose to remain outside of the provisioned safe zone, Head Reasercher Dr. Edward Tarris is to be notified. On the occasion that SCP-XXXX requests the presence of Dr. Tarris, he is to be notified immediately and must accompany SCP-XXXX within a 5 minute window. Under no event up to and including a Keter-class containment breach is any personnel granted the authority to deny this request, including Dr. Tarris himself.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an 8 year old Caucasian female who responds to the name Emily or "Emmy". SCP-XXXX's anomalous nature is not continuously present, but is elicited by a fear response. Upon the response to a fear stimuli, SCP-XXXX's shadow will autonomously manipulate its surroundings to relieve the fears of SCP-XXXX. Upon the elicitation of a greater fear response, most reliably mortal danger, SCP-XXXX's shadow will engulf SCP-XXXX and grow to approximately 2.5 meters tall and will attempt to terminate the source of danger. There is currently no known means of containing SCP-XXXX in this state, including the use of anomalous containment procedures. When the threat is deemed neutralized, SCP-XXXX will return to a non-anomalous state with no memory of the incident.

PSYCHOLOGIST'S FORENOTE
This is certainly a different situation, to say the least. The amount of work the ethics committee has put into this SCP has been monumental. But as Dr. Tarris will attest to, this seems to be the best for Emmy and The Foundation. It is both Dr. Tarris and my own's judgement that the recently revised containment procedures are to be approved as soon as possible for maximum efficiency in the containment of SCP-XXXX.
I have personally overseen the mental status of SCP-XXXX for over a year and a half now. Below I have cataloged the major events which have been critical to her current and future containment within The Foundation. Any personnel requesting the displacement, termination, or revision of containment procedures of SCP-XXXX are advised to read this catalog before taking further action.

EXTRACTION
SCP-XXXX is recovered by local police after she was found unscratched under the rubble of her house. Shortly after detainment by local police, she was again recovered under the rubble of the police station. Foundation operatives in the local area heard news of this and field agents were dispatched not long after.
After initial experimentation, SCP-XXXX's surface anomalies are discovered and determined to be triggered by fear. Psychological evaluation hints towards a general distrust towards adults, especially men. Theorized source of anomaly was determined a coping mechanism towards repeated physical abuse.
SCP-XXXX is assigned a standard containment chamber with no amenities. Interaction with personnel is to be kept at a minimum to prevent a fear response.

CONTAINMENT ISSUES
SCP-XXXX has begun to damage her containment chamber in attempt to escape on a daily basis. To combat this, Head Researcher Dr. Tarris has started to read children's stories to her through the intercom during his off hours. This seems to have a calming effect, escape attempts reduce by 40%. Dr. Tarris attempted to enter the containment chamber to gift one of the books to SCP-XXXX, and was met with violence.
Request from Dr. Tarris: Children's supplies equitable to a kindergarten classroom as amenities in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber.
Dr. Tarris is reminded that contact with SCP-XXXX is strictly forbidden within SCP-XXXX's special containment procedures. Continued misconduct will be met with reprimand and possible demotion. Request denied.

ATTEMPTED CONTAINMENT BREACH
SCP-XXXX breaches containment and attempts to escape. Dr. Tarris ignores safety protocol and makes contact with SCP-XXXX. After minutes of silence, SCP-XXXX is found within its containment chamber with a stack of paper and box of crayons.
"She must have found some during the breach when no one was looking."

PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS
After several failed attempts by both Dr. Warren and Dr. Tarris, we have finally made peaceful contact with SCP-XXXX.
For the following 4 months, Dr. Warren has performed extensive psychoanalysis and rehabilitation. Within this time period, the Ethics Committee approved every request for amenities in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber. Attempted containment breaches reduced to 0%.
SCP-XXXX spoke to D-4053 today.

CONTAINMENT BREACH
Multiple keter and euclid level containment breaches have occurred at Site 19. During the breach, SCP-XXXX left containment and encountered SCP-███, SCP-████, SCP-████, and SCP-████. This encounter has left SCP-████ in critical condition and it is uncertain what their future status will be. However, this has been a learning experience for The Foundation. We now know that SCP-XXXX is immune to minor scale reality bending, possibly large scale as well. We also now know of a secondary manifestation of SCP-XXXX's anomaly. The shadow can engulf her body and take full autonomous control of SCP-XXXX's body and mind; this secondary form seems to have nearly no limits in strength, speed, stamina, and raw power. This form is quite possibly uncontainable, however once the threats were neutralized, SCP-XXXX returned to her natural state and has no recollection of the events. Probably best to keep it this way.

CROSS-TESTING
The higher-ups have approved SCP-XXXX for cross-testing. Dr. Tarris and Dr. Warren have taken an oppositional stance to this request, claiming that cross-testing works against the foundation's goals to secure, contain, and protect. Despite this, Dr. Tarris has been asked to head the project due to his expertise in SCP-XXXX. He has declined.
Cross-testing of SCP-XXXX with SCP-███ resulted in catastrophic damages. The new head of SCP-XXXX's cross-testing project was terminated in the damage alongside 22 (13 D-class) other Foundation personnel. Cross-testing with SCP-███ has caused a significant upset in SCP-XXXX, and she has been crying for Dr. Tarris for two hours. The Ethics Committee has formally ceased all future cross-testing of SCP-XXXX upon Dr. Tarris' request.

Site-19 Overseer Clifford Draken has called for the termination Dr. Tarris on the grounds that he has become too attached to SCP-XXXX. Appeal to the Ethics Committee overwritten on the grounds of potential nepotism.

UPDATE
Immediately preceding the termination of Dr. Tarris, SCP-XXXX underwent a seemingly unprompted transformation. Site-19 suffered the damage of multiple Euclid and Keter class containment breaches.
Site-19 Overseer Clifford Draken was fatally wounded in the destruction.
