Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5432 is to be kept in a 9 x 7 x 9 transparent rectangular cell with no human interaction unless it’s tentacles need to be severed. Two (2) guards are to be stationed outside SCP-5432’s cell at all times.
Description: SCP-5432 is a fungi which is completely unique to all known fungi on earth. Unlike other species, SCP-5432 changes colour to suit it’s “mood”. Instead of releasing spores, tentacles erupt from SCP-5432 every five (5) days and attempt to cover as much room as possible. When this happens, one (1) or more class D personnel are sent in with shears and are to sever the tentacles before they cover the entire cell. The time it takes for SCP-5432 to cover the entire cell is four (4) minutes. When the entire cell is covered, the tentacles move suddenly and slam against the cell walls, causing great damage (or causing it to instantly break with some materials) and allowing SCP-5432 to spread. If SCP-5432 breaks out of it cell, the two (2) guards outside of 5432’s cell are to come in with flamethrowers and burn the tentacles of 5432.
In rare cases, SCP-5432’s tentacles can spread onto a human being. When this happens, the tentacles will wrap itself around the person and make its way down their throat. It will then sprout out of the victims chest, revealing two (2) to five (5) new smaller tentacles connected to the original ones that sprouted out of 5432.This assimilation process usually takes around 11 minutes.
Addendum: Fire and sharp tools are the fastest means of destroying SCP-5432’s tentacles
Addendum: Out of seventy (70) D-class personnel, only ten (10) have been attacked by SCP-5432. The amount of new tentacles after the assimilation seem to be higher than three (3) if the subject is healthy, while the number will be lower if the subject is either obese or younger than the age of twenty five (25)
Addendum: If SCP-5432 does not break its cell immediately after the first hit by the tentacles, it will continue doing this until it breaks out
