Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard storage unit at least 2 x 2 meters and 1,5 meters high. During testing, SCP-XXXX should be contained in a steel room with at least 1 security guard on sight due to SCP-XXXX's unpredictable nature. D-class personnel must be used to place testing equipment in and retrieve testing equipment from SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1 x 1 x 1 meter brown cardboard box with the same proportions as a regular cardboard box. The cardboard itself shows no anomylous properties.
If a creature or item which has any sort of damage or malfuntion is placed inside of SCP-XXXX, then the lid of SCP-XXXX will close by unknown means and SCP-XXXX will begin producing sound. The sound produced by SCP-XXXX at this time differs per subject but is considered to always be related to the repairing of the subject. The duration that this sound continues for can be several seconds or minutes, depending on what has been placed inside of SCP-XXXX, but can also be hours in rare cases.
Once the noise ceases SCP-XXXX will reopen and the subject placed inside of SCP-XXXX will have been altered. A single broken or malfunctioning aspect of the subject will have been fixed and perfected. However, most other aspects of the subject will have been damaged further than they had originally been, often beyond repair. It is currently unknown how to predict which aspect will be repaired.
On order of Dr. █████ no living animals are to be inside of SCP-XXXX when SCP-XXXX activates.
Addendum 1: 12/5/20██
[3:43] 2 D-class personnel place a simple wooden chair with bent and degraded nails inside SCP-XXXX.
[3:44] SCP-XXXX's lid closes and begins producing the sound of hammers hitting nails and of a handsaw sawing through wood.
[3:48] SCP-XXXX stops producing sound and its lid opens.
[3:49] 2 D-class personnel are sent to retrieve the chair from SCP-XXXX.
[3:51] The chair is observed to have turned into a pile of wood chips with a dozen straight and polished nails in it, showing absolutely no signs of rust.
Addendum 2: 3/6/20██
[1:12] A laptop with a shattered screen, missing buttons and smashed mouse is inserted into SCP-XXXX by D-class personnel.
[1:13] SCP-XXXX's lid closes and SCP-XXXX begins producing the sound of screws being removed, buttons of a keyboard being pressed, glass breaking and a low whirring noise.
[1:31] SCP-XXXX stops producing sound and its lid opens.
[1:32] 2 D-class personnel are sent to retrieve the object from SCP-XXXX.
[1:34] The screen of the laptop is seen to be repaired and completely clean. All but 4 buttons of the keyboard have been removed and placed in a pile next to the laptop. The mouse is missing and its location is currently unknown. All data on the computer is corrupted and unusable.
Addendum 3: 1/9/20██
[4:01] A single 12 year old, white-haired labrador retriever is placed inside SCP-XXXX. The labrador retriever suffers from arthritis, poor eyesight, and hairloss.
[4:02] SCP-XXXX's lid closes and SCP-XXXX begins producing the sound of an electric razor, a drill, and several unidentified sounds.
[4:09] The sound of a shower is heard.
[4:10] Subject is heard whimpering.
[4:15] The sound of a shower and the subject's whimpering ceases.
[4:29] Subject begins barking agressively, sound stops with a sudden yelp. No further noise is heard from subject.
[4:41] SCP-XXXX stops producing sound and its lid opens.
[4:42] 2 D-class personnel are sent to retrieve the subject from SCP-XXXX.
[4:43] Subject's skin is completely intact, fur is clean and healthy in all places. Eyes missing. Insides of the subject are removed and is stuffed with dry hay.
Addendum 4: 20/10/20██
[6:57] D-class personnel D-44071 has their ulna broken by agent ██████ and is placed inside SCP-XXXX.
[6:58] SCP-XXXX's lid closes and SCP-XXXX begins producing the sound of a bone saw sawing through bone, the dripping of an IV, flesh being cut open, and a host of hospital equipment. Periodically a stabbing noise is heard. All this is accompanied by the loud screaming of D-44071.
[7:19] D-44071's screaming dies down and stops completely.
[8:12] D-44071's screaming starts back up, louder than before.
[8:44] A sudden stabbing noise is heard and D-44071 immediately stops screaming.
[8:46] All noise produced by SCP-XXXX ceases.
[8:56] 3 D-class personnel are sent to retrieve D-44071's remains from SCP-XXXX. All 3 are hesitant, but continue after encouragement from Dr. █████.
[8:57] The D-class personnel exhibit distress when looking inside SCP-XXXX, but continue after short pause.
[9:00] The body of D-44071 is removed from SCP-XXXX. It is severly lacerated and cold to the touch.
Later autopsy shows all bones of D-44071 in perfect condition. Stomach of D-44071 is greatly distended and containing all the victim's blood. All internal organs, with the exception of the bones and stomach, are punctured by sharp object approximately 1 cm in diameter.
Cause of death: puncture wound to the brain from several angles.
After first human test Dr. █████ has forbidden further testing on living animals.
