Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a locked metal box guarded by two agents at all times. Agents must be unaware of the existence of SCP-XXXX . No cameras or other surveillance equipment may be brought within the containment chamber and any attempt to use them will be met with lethal force as per protocol. SCP-XXXX is to be contained at Site-XX and no significant human population is to be in an area of 10 km of the containment chamber. In order to ensure containment , one Class-D personnel is to observe SCP-XXXX at least once every five days.
Description: SCP-XXXX takes on the resemblance of a Victorian desk watch , its exterior being primarily made of wood and glass with gold ornaments to each side. No visual contact is to be made with SCP-XXXX , nor any photos or video footage containing it . It is unclear how SCP-XXXX continues ticking as no source of energy has been detected inside or around it . SCP-XXXX will continue to tick until it has reached 12:00AM , at wich point it will end a cycle and start again . At the end of each cycle , any human being that has seen SCP-XXXX will inevitably die through various circumstances (some of which may be influenced by immediate surroundings). Any attempts to stop this outcome have been proven unsuccessful.Reports of death regarding SCP-XXXX include: cardiac arrest , multiple and simultaneous organ failure , accident in a vehicle , etc. A full cycle of SCP-XXXX has been measured to be between 120 and 168 hours . It has been observed that with only one victim per cycle , the next one will almost always last 120 hours (permission to see how cycle is affected with multiple number of victims still pending). Reports have suggested that any humans in an area surrounding SCP-XXXX (5-10 meters) will begin hearing a constant ticking sound , regardless of any obstacles. Should humans come closer to the object , the ticking will gradually transform in auditory hallucinations corresponding to the subjects greatest fears , awaking a need to observe the source of the sound .This effect only appears to be present in humans aware of SCP-XXXX's existance . If SCP-XXXX is not observed by any human being for the whole duration of one cycle , the object appears to teleport through unknown means in a 10 km radius towards any human in the area . If no human is present in a 10 km radius , then SCP-XXXX will teleport towards the nearest human being to it .
