Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The house in which SCP-XXXX resides has been purchased by the Foundation. Within the house, the door to the basement is reinforced with steel and locked with an 8 (eight) digit keycode created by Research Team B-37. Security cameras are to be kept functional in the house and checked once a week. any errors in them are to be reported to Security Chief Uriah.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a hallway measuring approximately 4.3m long, 1.2m wide and 2.1m tall. It has one room on the left side and two on the right side, as well as one at the end. The room on the left has been confirmed to be a standard bathroom with a shower, a toilet, and a vanity unit. The first one on the right side is a closet containing a 25 (twenty five) gallon water heater, a dehumidifier, and several toolboxes, while the second one is an unusually messy bedroom filled with papers and boxes, with clothes strewn about the floor. The room at the end of the hall has its door closed, and scans can detect no life signs or heat signatures inside, despite researchers hearing recurring sounds akin to a child's humming. A ceiling mounted light fixture can be turned on to illuminate SCP-XXXX.
Subjects who enter SCP-XXXX are inclined to pause at roughly the halfway mark, just before the first identified room. At this point, as recorded by test subject's body cameras, an entity manifests, known as SCP-XXXX-1. It bears the appearance of a child with tan skin, rusty red hair, heterochromatic red and blue eyes, and a deep scar across its left cheek. The entity appears to be barefoot, wearing a long sleeved red shirt and overalls. SCP-XXXX-1 is 1.5 meters tall and of normal build for a ten to eleven year old. It is currently unknown if the entity is physical or ethereal in nature.
Upon SCP-XXXX-1's appearance, subjects immediately experience an intense fear response. Based off of various tests, it has been determined that the entity appears, to the subject, to have some aspect that triggers an acute anxiety attack, seemingly by showing the subject their worst fears, be them conscious or subconscious. Test subjects invariably find themselves paralyzed by fear and physically unable to continue down the hallway, even when immediate termination was threatened if they did not comply. However, all test subjects, instead of pleading with the entity Robotic units sent down the hallway did not summon the entity, but found the door to the end room locked and, upon attempting, found the door completely indestructible by physical means.
