Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 1m x 1m x 1m sealed tank, constructed out of 3 centimeter thick plexi-glass. The tank is to have a drainage system, should there
be an emergency. The tank should be watched with cameras, and should have 2 armed guards watching through the cameras at all times. Guards are to be rotated once a month to prevent overexposure to telekill alloy. At no time should any personnel be within 30m of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX does not need to be fed, and has not been seen to create waste.
Should there be an emergency, all water in SCP-XXXX's tank is to be drained, and an on-site security guard is to be sent to retrieve it. The guard must be suited in full telekill alloy armour, and blindfolded. To make his way to SCP-XXXX, the second guard is to continue watching through security cameras located over SCP-XXXX's tank, and guide the first security guard to SCP-XXXX. Once it has been reached, SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a black leather sack and contained elsewhere.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an eel of the Ariosoma mellissii, also known as the Silver Eel. Ironically, it is made out of solid gold. The gold has been observed as 24-Karats, making SCP-XXXX very valuable. Upon further research, it has been observed to have the same organs as a regular silver eel, however they too are made of solid gold, and do not function. Even though it is made from solid gold, it displays the ability to move around and function like a reglar Silver Eel. When left out of water for an hour, SCP-XXXX will freeze, and essentially become a golden statue. In this state, it still maintains its anomalous properties. When put back in water, it immediately returns back to swimming around and moving like normal. It is unknown how SCP-XXXX maintains life. SCP-XXXX does not require food nor hydration, and has not been observed to create waste.
SCP-XXXX has anomalous cognitohazardous properties. If a subject is within 30 meters of SCP-XXXX, and sees it with their own eyes, (This does not include photographs or videos, only SCP-XXXX's physical being.) they will be compelled to watch SCP-XXXX for three days straight, with no break. Then, the subject will follow any orders given to them by SCP-XXXX. This effect is irreversible, even if the subject is brought over 30 meters away from SCP-XXXX. If a subject is within SCP-XXXX's active range but cannot see it, SCP-XXXX will have no effect on the subject. If the subject is within SCP-XXXX's active range and sees it, but is wearing telekill alloy armour, then the subject will begin the process of watching SCP-XXXX, but will never be controlled, meaning that they will sit and watch SCP-XXXX forever, or until the armour is removed. If a subject sees SCP-XXXX, but is not within the active range, there will be no effect. If a subject is removed from SCP-XXXX's line of sight while undergoing the three day process, they will remain compelled to watch SCP-XXXX and if unconstrained, will do anything in their power to return to SCP-XXXX.
Subjects experiencing SCP-XXXX's cognitohazardous properties, whether already being hosted or undergoing the three day process of being hosted, displays augmented strength and agility. No matter their previous weight, size, or physical abilities before experiencing SCP-XXXX's properties, they will be able to run at a constant of 60 km/h and deliver punches of about 272 kilograms. Subjects under SCP-XXXX's effects exhibit no increased intelligence, resistance, pain tolerance, or sensory awareness. Subjects under SCP-XXXX's influence are capable of speech and intelligent conversation, however very rarely choose to speak.
Addendum 1: A D-Class personne was sent in to SCP-XXXX's room. Upon seeing the eel, the subject, (now referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) had the overwhelming urge to continue observing it.
When taken away from SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 exhibited unnatural strength, and attacked any security personnel who tried to remove it from SCP-XXXX's line of sight. When left alone,
SCP-XXXX-1 sat and stared at SCP-XXXX, completely unmoving. This continued for 3 days. By the 3rd day, SCP-XXXX-1 eyes were glossy, and had a grey film over them. SCP-XXXX-1 no longer exhibited
the want to look at SCP-XXXX, and instead insisted on "doing its job." When pressed further about what this job was, SCP-XXXX-1 refused to answer, and started screaming about [DATA EXPUNGED].
When prompted to defy SCP-XXXX's orders, SCP-XXXX-1 became agitated, and refused to speak for any longer. When left alone, SCP-XXXX-1 attempted to break SCP-XXXX out of containment by
smashing SCP-XXXX's tank with it's bare hands, activating emergency protocol. Security personnel sent to retrieve SCP-XXXX were instructed to shoot SCP-XXXX-1, and when done, SCP-XXXX-1
did not exhibit any abnormal resistance as it did strength, and died to 1 bullet wound in the forehead.
Addendum 2: Once SCP-XXXX was once again securely contained, another D-Class personnel was sent in. After the the same three-day process seen before, the subject (now referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) once again tried to break SCP-XXXX out of containment. SCP-XXXX-1 was successfully captured and secured, and then taken 10 kilometers from the site in which SCP-XXXX was stored. SCP-XXXX-1
showed no signs of betterment, and when released from containment, exhibited unnatural agility, running at 60 km/h towards SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 was promptly shot before it could reach the site
in which SCP-XXXX was stored.
Addendum 3: Two D-Class personnel were sent into SCP-XXXX's tank. (referred to as SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2). They both underwent the same 3-day process seen before, and were both shot before they could attempt to breach SCP-XXXX's confinement. This shows that SCP-XXXX can take multiple hosts, and this testing is to end here, as an army of mind-controlled D-Classes is the last thing the Foundation needs.
