Special containment procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be stored in a 15x15m containment cell, the containment cell is to contain a 10m perimeter weapon dump.
WARNING: As of June 7th, 2002 no persons trained in hand-to-hand combat are to enter the 10m perimeter of SCP-xxxx, even if they do not carry a weapon.

Description: SCP-xxxx has two states that differ drastically in morphology and behaviour. In its dormant state SCP-xxxx is a sessile, mummified corpse of a male in their mid 20’s tied to a large standing stone with a height of 2.8m. In its activated state SCP-xxxx becomes extremely hostile and undergoes several physical deformities along with anomalous speeds and strength.

List of anomalous deformities when in active state:

• Height grows from 1.91m to 2.75m
• Muscle mass increases weight to upwards of 210kg, while active the muscles inside of SCP-xxxx are under constant growth and give the appearance of shaking and twisting inside of the skin
• Torsion of ligaments to the point of the calves rotating 180 degrees
• Lower jaw distends to where cheeks are torn open
• Left eye is sunken into head while right eye grows in size and rests outside of socket
• Left eye is sunken into head while right eye grows in size and rests outside of socket
• While active the internal organs are pushed into the throat of SCP-xxxx by the anomalous muscle growth and are visible while SCP-xxxx’s mouth is open, despite this SCP-xxxx is still able to let out a cry upwards of 110 decibels
• The hair of SCP-xxxx stands on end and becomes hard enough to pierce through flesh and bone with ease

In all states SCP-xxxx is holding a spear, henceforth SCP-xxxx-1, made out of a single bone from an as of yet unidentified animal, SCP-xxxx-1 is consistent with the leaf shape found in ancient weapons from the scottish and irish celtic weapons. The head of the SCP-xxxx-1 is twice as large as any traditional weapon to date. SCP-xxxx-1 possess the anomalous property of transforming all white blood cells of anything stabbed with the head to become 2-5cm long bone spurs, as of yet there have been no reported survivors of contact with SCP-xxxx-1 and given the massive internal damage it has been deemed unlikely for any non-anomalous eukaryotic life forms to survive.
SCP-xxxx is extremely resilient to damage and ranged tests have shown that underneath the skin of SCP-xxxx is a layer of bone that has yet to be penetrated by any ranged weapons tested (see exprementation log 1 and experimentation log 2 for full list of ineffectual weapons tested). On top of being resilient to damage when switching between active and dormant states SCP-xxxx recovers all damage that was incurred.

During the active phase of SCP-xxxx its muscle mass tears through the ropes that bind it to the standing stone, but while reverting to its dormant state the ropes are seen to wrap around SCP-xxxx repairing and restraining SCP-xxxx.

Recovery: SCP-xxxx was made aware to the foundation after an archaeological dig in [REDACTED],Scotland discovered several skeletons that contained the hallmark bone spurs of SCP-xxxx-1. The following log is a transcript of the interrogation of the lead archaeologist prior to being amesthetized.

Interviewer: Dr. Atholl
Interviewee: [REDACTED FOR PRIVACY]

Dr. Atholl: The date is 18th of september 2001, Dr. Atholl interviewing Mrs.[REDACTED] a first hand witness to SCP-xxxx in its active state. Mrs.[REDACTED] can you confirm you are the lead archeologist on the project that discovered SCP-xxxx?

Interviewee: <Interviewee is visibly shaken> Huh? Right that's what you guys are calling it. Yeah that’s me.

Dr. Atholl: Thank you, and can you recount what happened when you found SCP-xxxx on the 12th of September?

Interviewee: Fuck me, you hear about stuff like this in myth and legend but I always assumed they were just stories. Still see that thing in my nightmares. Right, so the three of us was digging round the north, just trying to find some relics of the past yaknow? Like we do. An’ we come across the weirdest skeleton we’ve ever seen. I mean, thing was a normal skeleton with a musket but there were tiny bone shards round it, thousands of em. Dave, bless his soul, he went to investigate the musket to date it, but, soon as he picked it up <the interviewee trails off staring into the left-hand corner of the room>.

Dr. Atholl: Mrs. [REDACTED]? Can you continue?

Interviewee: Yeah sorry, do you mind if I smoke in here? Calms me nerves.

<Dr. Atholl motions and a fan is heard to start>

<The interviewee takes a cigarette and takes a long breath before beginning to speak again>

Interviewee: Dave, he picked up the musket and faster than he could blink, <pause> that hulking beast it jumped through the earth like it was springing off the bottom of a pool, and poor Dave, poor bastard never stood a chance. Speared right through. That’s when it happened, not only was there a spear through his stomach but he fucking exploded in bones.

Dr. Atholl: Can you describe the ‘hulking beast’ that attacked him?

Interviewee: Already did, hulking beast is pretty fucking apt, thing wasn't human. Not by any stretch, with one giant eye and twisting muscles it was an abomination is what it was.

Dr. Atholl: And what did you do after SCP-xxxx had killed your colleague?

Interviewee: What kind of fucking question is that? I ran! Fuck me if im going anywhere near that thing again, told my superior what happened and two days later im here talking to you, reliving that nightmare.

Dr. Atholl: Thank you for your cooperation Mrs. [REDACTED], if it's any consolation SCP-xxxx is safely contained and won’t be getting out of its containment cell.

+Abridged Test logs

Test 1:
Purpose: Test of activity of SCP-xxxx while outside the marked range of SCP-xxxx.

Log: SCP-xxxx was fired at from behind the 10m radius with a standard smith & wesson m&p 40 caliber handgun by a single D-class. After firing at SCP-xxxx for the entire clip the handgun was to be deposited and the perimeter breached by the D-class.

Results: No reaction from SCP-xxxx, however the bullets were seen to hit SCP-xxxx but were not able to penetrate further than the dermal layer, revealing a thick layer of extremely hardened bone underneath.

Test 2:
Purpose: Test of resilience of newly discovered bone layer underneath the dermis of SCP-xxxx.

Log: SCP-xxxx was incinerated with a standard issue flamethrower from behind the safety perimeter and fired at with rounds of increasing caliber, range of calibers: 1-50mm.

Results: The skin of SCP-xxxx was seen to burn away as expected, none of the calabers had any effect on SCP-xxxx beyond movement of its dormant state, which was unable to be dislodged from the ropes binding it.

Test 3:
Purpose: Test of speed and observe the active state of SCP-xxxx.

Log: A single D-class was told to fire at SCP-xxxx with the smith & wesson m&p 40 caliber handgun from test 1, but was to take a step closer to SCP-xxxx every time they fired.

Results: SCP-xxxx had no reaction to the D-class until it crossed the 10m radius, at which point SCP-xxxx became active and before the D-class had the time to pull the trigger once more, was killed by SCP-xxxx using SCP-xxxx-1. After D-class was terminated by SCP-xxxx, it spent the next 90s shrinking back to its dormant size walking back to its standing stone. SCP-xxxx also proceeded to spend the next 45s tieng itself to it’s standing stone with the ropes that had anomalously repaired themselves. Once tied to its stone SCP-xxxx was noted to have regrown all of its lost dermal layer from test #2
Addendum to test #3: A guard was sent to retrieve the handgun using a magnet as not to make contact with the handgun. Upon entry to the perimeter SCP-xxxx activated cutting through the standard issue bullet proof armour with no apparent resistance.

Test #4:
Purpose: Determine the unexpected activation of SCP-xxxx in test 3.

Logs: Two D-class personnel one who was a boxer before being sent to prison and the other having no prior experience in hand to hand combat were ordered to approach SCP-xxxx while carrying no weapons.

Results: SCP-xxxx activated and killed the D-class who was a boxer while ignoring the other D-class, who was captured as they tried to flee the scene and was voluntarily reassigned to guard SCP-xxxx. Stating that SCP-xxxx caused him mental distress and expressed a willingness to cooperate with foundation security if he could guard SCP-xxxx.
