Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be surrounded in its entirety by a three (3) meter tall chain link fence, the top lined with barbed wire. This fence will also extend one (1) meter into the ground bringing the total height to four (4) meters.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an area of land in western South America covering approximately 136 square kilometers. Living beings coming into direct contact with the soil in this area are extensively mutated. A list of these mutations can be found below. Due to these mutations the general coloring of this area is a dark purple, SCP-XXXX possesses a memetic effect which causes observers above one hundred and fifty (250) meters from ground level to perceive SCP-XXXX as a normal vegetative area. This effect also applies to photographs.
A village of indigenous people is located nearby, the locals claim that SCP-XXXX is a curse made by an entity known as "Crotalus". They claim the curse can only be held back by humans having knowledge of the "Elder Beings", the village's deity figures in their religion, that which "Crotalus" is a part of.
Near the center of SCP-XXXX is SCP-XXXX-1, a gigaflora approximately one hundred (100) meters tall.
