Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Genre: Other: Due to the nature of my idea, hard to specify as it could be any.
Page Layout: I was thinking about having it so that the entire SCP as a whole is unknown, and as you read through the logs, the page expands and updates with the info from the previous log.
Elevator Pitch:
- An alternate universe (AU) entered through a portal.
- The AU, when entered, will begin to have a catastrophic, world/universe ending event (actual events, such as a meteor or pandemic. This does not mean the world would just detonate instantaneously and reset, the event would last for a while like a real event would) take place inside of it.
- The end of said event will cause the AU to reset, sending the subjects back to the original starting point of entering the AU.
- Subjects who entered will have no memory of events that transpired in the AU.
Possible Central Narrative:
- Story begins with standard begin log procedure: checks, video/audio tests, etc.
- Subjects enter.
- Everything is normal.
- Soon, said events begin to unravel.
- Climax: Readers left confused as after the world/universe ends, the story seems to reset.
- After story concludes, the page updates and fills in more info about the SCP.
- Rinse and repeat for a few stories perhaps, each adding more info.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: It's sense of progression makes the reader want to continue reading to figure out just whats going on.
Additional Notes: I am searching for green lights, however, feel free to be harsh with your criticism. Point out flaws blatantly, don't sugar coat. Reading in between lines is difficult for me, and I'd rather you be blatant than me misinterpret something and goof up.
If you feel as though the idea of a story developing SCP Article is bad, I could instead write it as a normal article, if it would fit better.
