| Hungarian, Slovakian, and Polish | Dr. Kenderes Áron | Dr. Mikhaylov Stanislaus | Bruno-12 "fishermen" |
Special Containment Procedures:
A Site (Site 108) has been built around the lake to further research it's anomalous properties, it's effect, and to contain any breaches. Applied Task Force Bruno-12 "fishermen" must always be stationed on-site due to the potential appearance of SCP-9876-3 instances. In case of a breach, personnel are to follow procedure 9876-44 (see addendum 9876-B). Civilians are not allowed to enter the lake or it's proximity.
Description:
SCP-9786 is a string of interdimensional portals, located in an indefinite amount of dimensions. The extent of these portals or their origins is as of yet unknown. Fully entering an instance SCP-9876 will result in the subject manifesting in another dimension. The dimension where the anomaly will lead to is not constant and changes in a set period of time. If the subject returns to the portal before that period of time ends it will reemerge to the dimension it entered from. If the subject enters SCP-9876-1, and does not return before it "changes destinations", they will not be able to return, as SCP-9876-2B will also change it's destination to another dimension.
SCP-9876-1
is a lake in Hungary, inbetween the towns of Tatabánya and Oroszlány.
The location of where SCP-9876-1 leads to changes daily at around 3:45 AM. Between 3:40 AM and 3:45 AM the lake ceases all anomalous activities. The location of SCP-9786-1 doesn't change. Despite being connected to other lakes through a streamlet, SCP-9876-1 is the only anomalous lake. As of yet SCP-9876-1 has never led to the same place more than once, and people and equipment which failed to return before 3:40 AM never returned. The lake is capable of transmitting radiowaves, light, plasma, anomalous and non-anomalous entities (including humans), objects, and other inorganic material.
SCP-9876-2A
are the different dimensions SCP-9876-1 leads to. These destinations don't follow a pattern, and in some cases are hypothesized to be completely empty. (Such as the dimension in Exploration log-9876-2A-01). . Exploration is occasionally allowed, but heavily limited After [REDACTED] exploration was further encouraged in hopes of regaining contact with [REDACTED]. The composition of the exploration theme can also be found in Addendum-9876-B. Civilians are not allowed to enter the lake or it's proximity.
SCP-9876-2B
is the point of entry, aka "the portal", of SCP-9876-2A. The composition of these portals varies. These portals work the exact same way SCP-9876-1 does.
No correlation was found between SCP-9876, SCP-354, and SCP-1437 despite their similarity. Theoretically SCP-9876-1 could lead to these destination, it as of yet never did, and most likely never will thanks to the extremely thin chances of such a thing happening.
SCP-9876-3
All entities emerging from, or living in an instance of SCP-9876-2A. Finding such entities is really rare, as the majority of SCP-987-2As don't show any kind of life. As of yet hardly any of these entities showed signs of anomaly, but this was not always true. They are differentiated with a number at the end of their designation. e.g. "SCP-9876-3-1
Note:
If a subject enters SCP-9876-1, and does not return before it "changes destinations", they will not be able to return, as SCP-9876-2B will also change it's destination to another dimension. To avoid being trapped, exploration themes must return to our dimensions at least 4 hours before it changes it's destination. In cases where time goes dangerously faster in SCP-9876-2A than it does in ours, all personnel must evacuate immedietaly.
Discovery:
SCP-9876-1 was contained by [REDACTED] in 17██. Prior to the containment of SCP-9876-1 a town called "Környe" was located around SCP-9876-1. No historical artifacts, documents, or legends show any signs of anomalous activity prior to incident ████████████ which happened a few weeks before containment. After [REDACTED] was merged with the foundation, the lake became a part of Foundation property.
