SCP-5469

SCP-5469 “He Shoots; He Scores”

Item #: SCP-5469

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5469 must be contained in a 4m x 4m x 4m containment space. SCP-5469’s room must not be filled with any unauthorized items and SCPs.

Description:
SCP-5469 is a quiver with numbers “0221121219052505” written on the side of its body. SCP-5469’s arrows regenerate infinitely (each called “SCP-5469-1”) with a twist being that all arrows don’t have an arrowhead, but a dice with unmarked sides. Any and all arrows that join the arrows in SCP-5469 become SCP-5469-1.
*IT GROWS STRONGER, THE MORE IT IS IN CONTACT*

SCP-5469 is for a lack of a better word: “Chance”. When one fires SCP-5469-1, the dice is rolled. Next, SCP-5469 whispers the result to the user in numbered form. Depending on the number, a result that is linked to that number will happen, as well as, the dice with the number rolled being presented to the user.

Confirmed Results of SCP-5469-1:

Instant Death of User Spontaneous Combustion of User Magnitude 7 Earthquake Random Person hit by arrow Teleportation of User to Unknown Place*
User Ceases to Exist * User's Bow teleports to a location within 100m* Increases Users Age 5 Years EMP occurs and affects a 200m radius Plays a Random Sound at 160db
Lost Limbs Blindness of User Random Appearance of a Golden Retriever Water poured on User from Nowhere Disco lights over the User take place for 1 hr.

The one in charge of SCP-5469’s Containment currently, Dr. Mark Edelstein has been on edge ever since receiving 5469’s experimentation permissions. He decided to keep the experimentation small when he firsts witnesses the death of a D Class personnel from experimenting on SCP-5469.

Experimentation Logs:

Experiment 5469-01:
(D-8765 enters.)
Dr. Edelstein- I would like for you to shoot SCP-5469-1 at the target.
D-8765- Yes, sir.
(D-8765 does as told.)
D-8765- It said… number 2?
Dr. Edelstein- I’m sorry…It was an honor to work with you, D-8765.
(D-8765 dies on the spot. Another D Class enters to examine the body.)
D-6879- His Heart stopped.
Dr. Edelstein- What?
D-6879- His Heart, sir…..It was stopped.
(Experiment was concluded and an autopsy was performed on the late D Class.)
Dr. Edelstein- His heart disappeared…
(Fear sets in.)
Result/Notes: The experimentation of SCP-5469 should only be done with subjects who aren’t afraid to die won’t flinch at the thought of death. SCP-5469 has many abilities and it may not be possible to keep control of SCP-5469. I will see what kind of effect it has on other SCPs. My college friend, Branwyn, is in charge of an SCP in Area-179.

Experiment 5469-02:
See SCP-5456 file from Area-179 for more Information.
(SCP-5469 is brought to Area-179 inside of SCP-5456's Dim. Containment.)
Dr. Edelstein- Dr. Branwyn, I will be borrowing "Solomon's Gate". SCP-5456 move SCP-5469-1, one of the arrows to another location in this room.
(It happens as desired.)
SCP-5469- PING
(“UPDATED!” can be briefly read along SCP-5469’s body.)
SCP-5456- It stole some of my abilities. What a vile quiver that is.
Dr. Edelstein- What do you mean, SCP-5456?
SCP-5456- That plagiarist…it stole my teleport abilities and a "consequence" of sorts.
Dr. Edelstein- A "consequence"???
SCP-5456- I am sorry to say this, but it now has the ability to remove the existence of others. That quiver copies SCP abilities. Good Luck, Doctor.
Result/Notes: I have decided further experimentation will increase the strain on my mind. I fear what other despicable things this quiver may be capable of. I have decided to issue an Addendum to stop any further use or experimentation of SCP-5469. I will also be resigning once the Addendum goes into effect.

Addendum: Those it should concern (including the D Class and assisting scientists of SCP-5469’s experimentation and containment) refer to the disclosed document #5469

Document #5469: The Experiments of Futility are over.

I, Dr. Edelstein, have my fears envelop my very scientific mind. It appears SCP-5469 steals and randomly uses the powers of other SCPs. If it were to interact with more violent and godly SCPs, I fear the worst is to come. I pleaded with my superiors to close the experimentation of this SCP and it finally was accepted after two grueling months. SCP-5469 caused deaths and permanent damage to just over three-hundred Foundation Employees which also includes those without existence and civilians who were impaled by arrows out of nowhere. With these deaths and injuries, we are able to put this nightmare to rest. I am leaving the Foundation for the reason of being near that quiver. I pray my friend, classmate, and colleague, Dr. Branwyn, will stay alive in the dangerous work environment of being a Foundation Employee.

P.S. Don’t ever let SCP-5469 interact with SCPs.
