Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX currently has not been found and must be as soon as possible. Foundation elite technical operatives "Silence is Key" are to be used to lower the broadcast frequency of SCP-XXXX to [REDACTED] from anywhere in the world. SCP-XXXX has not stopped from broadcasting itself onto different video channels. Any personnel reporting strange sounds such as Swedish lullabies, children counting in Swedish, and laughter coming from the breakroom or a television should immediately be reported to a higher ranking personnel. If SCP-XXXX is somehow found within the public, mass distribution of Class A or D amnestics (depending on what version of SCP-XXXX found is) to be carried out.
If any subject report having visions of demons, faces, and or shadow people, they should be administrated Class D amnestics within 24 hours, preferred subjects are subjects that do not have a history of schizophrenia or insanity. If the subject reports these visions past the 24-hour mark, they should be placed in an average humanoid containment cell and left for the duration of the week.
Description: SCP-XXXX is video transmissions broadcast that randomly broadcasts itself around the world. It is unknown if the SCP-XXXX video station even exists or if it is just the broadcast itself. SCP-XXXX will randomly broadcast itself, usually playing from 1 minute to 5 hours, across all televisions that either use cable or satellite. SCP-XXXX plays disturbing and otherwise uncomfortable audio such as people gagging, children laughing, the tearing apart of flesh, and children screaming. SCP-XXXX also has the effect of appearing randomly on televisions, regardless if it's the frequency is turned off or not. If a subject within earshot of SCP-XXXX, they will surround the SCP-XXXX broadcast and wait there, for approximately 5 minutes, until the broadcast is played in its entirety, after which the subject will leave, suffering the effects. If SCP-XXXX is played in its entirety, the subject will begin to act similar to a child around 3 to 5 years of age and will begin speaking Swedish for the rest of the broadcast1. The subject will cease speaking Swedish after the conclusion of SCP-XXXX. Beginning five minutes after the conclusion of the broadcast, individuals who heard it will begin hallucinating. These hallucinations tend to manifest as a character, creature, or object the subject finds frightening or disturbing. These "hallucinations" are classified as SCP-XXXX-22.
SCP-XXXX-2 will take the form of the subjects greatest fear, and either make a humanoid version of the fear, if it does not consist of a humanoid, or make the fear more terrifying to the subject. If the SCP-XXXX-2 instance is the fear of heights, the SCP-XXXX-2 instance will turn itself into a giant bottomless hole. SCP-XXXX-2 first appears to be non-hostile, and will not attack the subject immediately. SCP-XXXX-2 instances have an existence for at least a week, and will generally stalk the subject until the week is over. SCP-XXXX-2 will generally appear when the subject least expect it. SCP-XXXX-2 reported sightings are: Right next to the subject in or out of bed, right in front of the subject, peeking behind a corner in a far distance, right behind the subject, and peeking through a door. The SCP-XXXX-2 instance also cannot be seen or interacted by any other subject, even after the 7 day period.
SCP-XXXX-2 will begin stalking the subject for 7 days, however, if the subject takes Class D amnestics, the SCP-XXXX-2 instance will be completely gone, however, this doesn't mean the effects of SCP-XXXX will be immune to the subject. During the week, SCP-XXXX-2 will begin to become more prominent and more disturbing as the days go on, which either result in the subject committing suicide or them becoming mentally insane. After the 7 day period, the SCP-XXXX-2 instance will be able to inflict real damage to the subject and become extremely violent. Most causes of death are blunt force trauma, however drowning, falling from a great height, mauling, and large doses of venom have been recorded.
Addendum-SCP-XXXX: The earliest recorded instance of SCP-XXXX was active was in █/██/1957, after several reports of Swedish people from 30 to ███ have gone insane and reported saying "Jag kan se mina frukter!". After several more reports of people going insane as well as the insane people dying in various ways, the Foundation tried to find the source of the insanity and death. After a month of searching, SCP-XXXX was discovered and the coverup story was delivered, explaining that the recent epidemic was a "new type of bird flu" that caused madness. The bodies were incinerated and anyone that found the cause of death was given Class A amnestics.
