Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a large 20 foot tall wall surround the area of the anomaly. Guards are to be at certain point around the wall in order to prevent any outside activity. No human or living animal are allowed within SCP-XXX unless for testing purposes.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a phenomenon that inhibits in an area approximately 110 acres within [REDACTED], New Jersey. All lifeforms within the area of SCP-XXXX have been described as having being in a semi liquid state. Lifeforms still have consciousness although having their physical bodies transformed via currently unknown sources. Research is currently being done on the source of the semi liquid transformation. Area has been known to also effect any living things that enter within the area. The process of SCP-XXXX will usually take up to 20 minutes to 1 hour. Because of the liquid physique lifeforms have in the area,many living creatures have been able to do such things as stretch limbs and jaws to long lengths and in rare cases being able to move and contort entire body parts and limbs such as eyes,jaws,arms,legs and head. Any living things affected with in the area of SCP-XXXX don't seem to show any sign of pain or physical discomfort in the liquid state despite the state of their physical makeup. Sightings of seemingly unrecognizable creatures have been sighted throughout the area. It is currently unknown whether these beings were previously living beings that have been severely mutated or new lifeforms created by SCP-XXXX’s effects.These new lifeforms have been described as being amoeba-like in physical appearance. Research and testing is currently being held at the area of SCP-XXXX to hopefully discover the source of the mutation although the area of the effect seems to be expanding. See Addendum XXXX-1

Addendum XXXX-1: The area of SCP-XXXX has been reported of expanding at a rapid rate. SCP-XXX has been reported of expanding up to 4 times it’s previous size. New containment protocols have been suggested. Expansion of effect area has been reported after Roughly half the population of [REDACTED], New Jersey has been affected and mutated by SCP-XXXX. Any more instances of SCP-XXXX expanding are to be reported immediately.
