Special Containment Procedures: Item should be contained in at least a 10, by 10, by 10-meter room. Only high-level security personal are authorized to enter the containment zone, in which they must wear Mark-VII Radiation equipment, at the very least. All personal who have come in at least 10 meters of SCP XXXX, must undergo intense psychological examination and training.
Description: SCP XXXX is what appears to be a worn, 1940s children's book. The book is titled, Why We Love, with the image of a young boy and girl holding hands on the cover. The book remains closed at all times, no matter the circumstances.
If any living creature is within 10 meters of SCP XXXX, which includes plants, animals, and fungi, (Does not include any bacteria or viruses, and other select organisms) the SCP pages will flip open, and cause immense stress, anxiety, depression, and intense uncontrollable pain. All creatures that have come in contact with SCP XXXX, will now be referred to as SCP XXXX-1. SCP XXXX-1 will continue to feel extreme disturbances, even after being removed from the containment zone, before inevitably committing suicide. Even when restrained, and there is no possible way of ending their own life, subject will stop breathing and attempt at suffocation.
All subjects considered as SCP XXXX-1 are deceased. The only protection against SCP XXXX is the use of Mark-VII Radiation Protection Equipment, and even then they undergo immense stress and anxiety. Foundation Personal still do not fully understand SCP XXXX, and are extracting samples of the SCP.
SCP XXXX seems to be constructed of organic matter, as in it's a living creature. It is assumed not to be sapient. SCP XXXX is currently behind held at Site ████.
