Special Containment Procedures:SCP-5562 is to be attached to a wall within its containment cell made of brick at all times. SCP-5562 must be kept an eye on by Foundation Staff at all times. All personnel stationed within a vicinity of 30 meters are required to wear a sort of sound-blocking headphones or other devices they find useful in order to protect themselves from becoming SCP-5562-1. Any personnel who turned into SCP-5562-1 must be immediately terminated on site.
Description: SCP-5562 is a Keter class anomaly resembling an antique bell measuring at 1.5 feet. It was discovered by a man named █████ while on a hiking trip in Ireland. Ever since the discovery, the SCP foundation was able to secretly contain the village as well as conceal the entire village.
The materials that make up SCP-5562 include steel and cobalt. Despite nobody manually using the anomaly, it was still capable of chiming noises at certain times of the day.
At any given time, SCP-5562 is known to chime random noises - like the sounds of deceased loved ones, or the sounds of animals of any sort. Any personnel who were stationed at SCP-5562 must wear headphones at all times, and attend psychological therapy for the next 2 weeks. Any personnel who hears the sound of SCP-5562 will be labeled as "SCP-5562-1".
SCP-5562-1 are stone-like humanoids that can travel at a speed of 200 miles towards the nearest life form(s) once fully transformed, and will instantly kill any human upon impact. Any Foundation Staff turned into SCP-5562-1 must be terminated in order to prevent further casualties. 82 casualties have ever occurred regarding SCP-5562 and 5562-1 due to careless mistakes performed by Foundation Staff.
Incidents
- February 14, 2010:
2:16 PM - SCP-5562 started chiming.
2:19 PM - A janitorial staff member by the name of Leymond Filmore was tempted to pull off his headphones.
2:20 PM - Leymond collapsed on the floor as if he was suffering with a seizure. His skin was hardening, and facial features visibly becoming distorted.
2:20 PM - Security pulled out weapons, and fired 20 shots.
2:21 PM - Leymond, who already was SCP-5562-1, lunged at the personnel staff, and viciously attacked everyone in the room.
2:23 PM - Firefight ended quickly, as Task Force members were dispatched. Resulting casualties were 19 deaths and 3 wounded.
-May 8, 2019:
10:51 AM - Security department staff were not acting cautious once entering the cell, as they considered it as a joke.
11:12 AM - Security department staff were reportedly hearing ringing noises in their heads.
11:45 AM - The entire department staff transformed into SCP-5562-1 due to the noise.
12:02 PM - The other members stationed were attacked immediately by SCP-5562-1, resulting in 67 deaths and 49 wounded.
