Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX's effects are to be suppressed via counseling to an affected subject by Level 1 clearance personnel or above with experience in handling mentally ill persons. Should counseling not ease the subject, personnel are to resort to Protocol-XXXX-A¹.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomaly present within subjects exhibiting mental illnesses². Anomalous properties include:

• Extremely high brain activity. Usually to the point of serious damage to the nervous system of the brain, yet affected subjects show no response indicating brain damage.
• Memetic effects present around the subject. Usually in the form of behavioral changes, such as usual speech patterns normally exhibited by a formerly unaffected individual³.
• Frequent emotional oscillations between SCP-XXXX-1 and persons near SCP-XXXX-1

A person affected with SCP-XXXX will normally have an emotional attachment towards a living/non-living object(s). If said subject's attachment is towards a living object, the object would normally be mammalian, which include:

• hamsters
• cats
• leopard gecko⁴
• female human

If the affected person exhibits emotional attachment towards a non-living object, the object would normally be a:

• a straw⁵
• a pencil⁶
• a wooden stick⁷
• a friend⁸
