Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
Access to SCP-XXXX-A is to be restricted on all major continents with the aid of both local and national Internet Service Providers. SCP-XXXX-A is also to be monitored for any incoming or outgoing traffic.

SCP-XXXX-B-1 is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell, and is to be provided with any requested items, barring those listed in addendum #XXXX-1-1. Upon the location or discovery of other SCP-XXXX-B instances, task force MTF-XX will be dispatched to the location of the instance, capturing and containing the instance using the same SCP as SCP-XXXX-B-1.

SCP-XXXX-C-███ is to be contained following the same procedures as SCP-XXXX-B-1 for the purposes of aiding foundation personnel during any XXXX-D events. SCP-XXXX-C-███ is to be told that they possess a fictitious anomalous quality similar to that of SCP-053, and their containment is for their own safety. All other Participants are to be monitored closely, but not explicitly interfered with. Any use of the Internet by a Participant is to be monitored directly and recorded.

Upon the start of a XXXX-D event, foundation personnel are to, if possible, attempt to locate SCP-XXXX-D-0 before it is found by any Participants. If SCP-XXXX-D-0 is of anomalous nature, or is deemed fit for study by the foundation, personnel are to provide a replica of SCP-XXXX-D-0 for the purposes of the XXXX-D event, and return the original object to the foundation for study.

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to the cognitohazardous anomaly produced by SCP-XXXX-A, and any events or individuals associated with the anomaly.

SCP-XXXX-A is a website that, when accessed, appears to use the domain www.█████████████████.com . However, if an individual attempts to access this address through an internet browser, they will be directed to an empty domain. SCP-XXXX-A can only be accessed through the use of SCP-XXXX-A-1, an anomalous hyperlink that usually appears as a random assortment of characters. When is the hyperlink is accessed by an individual, the individual is redirected to SCP-XXXX-A.

When accessed through SCP-XXXX-A-1, the website offers the individual an opportunity to join "The scavenger hunt of your lifetime", requesting that the individual input credentials and register an account. It is currently unknown if the credentials input are saved or discarded. When an individual inputs their credentials and completes the registration, they become a Participant, close the website, and lose their memory of any interaction with SCP-XXXX-A. Due to the optional nature of SCP-XXXX-A's effects, only ██% of individuals exposed to the anomaly become Participants.

SCP-XXXX-B are apparently non-anomalous humans, capable of accessing SCP-XXXX-A and instigating XXXX-D events. Instances of SCP-XXXX-B are to be kept in foundation custody for the purposes of slowing or completely stopping the occurrence of XXXX-D events. The only instance of SCP-XXXX-B currently held in foundation custody is SCP-XXXX-B-1, a 44-year old male named W██████ T█████. Upon the capture and containment of SCP-XXXX-B-1, the frequency of XXXX-D events was reduced by nearly ██%, allowing for easier management and containment of XXXX-D events. It is theorized that while SCP-XXXX-B-1 was the most active instance of SCP-XXXX-B, other instances must exist due to the ongoing occurrence of XXXX-D events despite SCP-XXXX-B-1's capture.

SCP-XXXX-C refers to the collective group of humans affected by SCP-XXXX. Instances of SCP-XXXX-C(Referred to as Participants) are unaware of their condition, and can only be directly identified by their participation in an XXXX-D event. Instances are fully conscious during an XXXX-D event, and seem to gain knowledge of how to access SCP-XXXX-A without use of SCP-XXXX-A-1. Based on Interview XXXX-2-2, Instances retain no memory of their actions or thoughts during an XXXX-D event. Participants will dedicate an unreasonable amount of time and mental capacity to acquiring SCP-XXXX-D-0, as detailed by interview XXXX-2-1. There are currently ████ Participants, designated SCP-XXXX-C-0001 through SCP-XXXX-████.

SCP-XXXX-D is an anomalous event triggered irregularly by an instance of SCP-XXXX-B, affecting the actions of SCP-XXXX-C. When the event triggers, an object (designated SCP-XXXX-D-0 until it is recovered by the foundation) becomes the immediate focus of SCP-XXXX-C. SCP-XXXX-C will then collaborate to acquire SCP-XXXX-D-0 at all costs, with instances gathering information about SCP-XXXX-D-0 and sharing it through SCP-XXXX-A. Upon discovering the location and nature of storage of SCP-XXXX-D-0, SCP-XXXX-C will direct the Participants most suited for the recovery of SCP-XXXX-D-0 to acquire the object.

Once a Participant recovers SCP-XXXX-D-0, or what they believe to be SCP-XXXX-D-0, they will attempt to access SCP-XXXX-A through the use of their personal computer. When the Participant succeeds in accessing SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-D-0 will anomalously be transported to another location, believed to be a zone specified by the instance of SCP-XXXX-B that initiated the XXXX-D event. Once the object is removed from the Participant's possession through this process, the XXXX-D event concludes, and SCP-XXXX-C will return to an inactive state as Participants return to their normal lives.

Out of the currently recorded ███ XXXX-D events, 34 instances of SCP-XXXX-D-0, designated SCP-XXXX-D-01 through SCP-XXXX-D-34 have been recovered successfully by the foundation. Access to information about these objects is restricted to level 4 clearance or higher.
