Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2531 Must be kept in a small room with major ventilation. Only assigned E class personnels are allowed to enter the containment room. Once there, E Class personnels must load the object with special pliers into a 3" bulletproof glass jar and transport it into the site lab where researchers must test the object for any biohazard level changes. All E Class personnels must report to the site quarantine. Keeping the object in containment can cost an estimated total of $3,375 Per Month.
Description: SCP-2531 is a battery from an unknown distributor that was discovered in the
██████ Dunes in the state of █████. It is a D Type battery that is 3 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide when standing up-right. It weighs 2 pounds and can supply very little energy in its current state. SCP-2531 was in a ripped ██████ bag along with a half eaten sandwich when discovered. DNA tests reveal that the sandwich was eaten by a specimen other than a human. The battery is badly rusted and has biohazardous fumes surrounding it. The fumes are really strong and change in certain climates. Upon contact with the fumes, personnels experience extreme rashes, blisters that can last up to 3 weeks. Longer contact with SCP-2531 can lead to blood cells being destroyed, blood vessel ruptures, paralysis, or death. It is unknown with why the battery is so toxic.
