Special Containment Procedures: All known supplies of SCP-XXXX are contained in a secure bio-hazardous containment locker in Site-96. Foundation web crawlers are to search for potential sellers of the product, and shut them down, along with any related advertising or online advocacy.
All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to have geocentric orbit-type satellites built around them and monitored in case of any increase or decrease in altitude.
Since The Playpen Incident, Foundation agents are to be inserted into all major gaming conventions to search for evidence of SCP-XXXX usage, and shut it down before a repeat incident unfolds.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation given to a supply of anomalous topical medication referred to on its packaging as "Slim Slime: The Easy to Use Weight Loss Cream for Gamers". SCP-XXXX advertises itself as being able to reduce an individual's weight dependent on how often they partake in the playing of electronic games. When an individual applies SCP-XXXX to their skin, they become an instance of SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-1 instances are able to maintain homeostasis without the need for oxygen, nutrients, and other items that are vital for the healthy existence of a non-anomalous human. SCP-XXXX-1 also becomes fixated on playing video games, going to such lengths as vandalism, assault, or even murder just to get access to a computer or other console. As soon as an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 comes into physical contact with such a device, the device and all of its vital components, including those connected via wireless signal, become an instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-2 instances demonstrate full functionality without the need for a constant intake of electricity, as well as being virtually indestructible.
Once an SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 instance are together, SCP-XXXX-1 will begin playing a seemingly random competitive or score-based game on SCP-XXXX-2. As SCP-XXXX-1 plays and progresses further in the game, they will lose weight over time. This change is not biological, as the size of SCP-XXXX-1 remains constant. Rather, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 will be affected by gravity less and less. Once SCP-XXXX-1 has reached the point in the game where their weight is negligible, they will become buoyant, and ascend upwards along with SCP-XXXX-2. At this point, no known method is able to slow SCP-XXXX-1's ascent.
Addendum 01 - The Playpen Incident:
On August 15th, 2019, a video game tournament held in a convention center in Boston known as "The Playpen" took place. Through currently unknown methods, manufacturers of SCP-XXXX made contact with the hosts of the event, and signed on as a sponsor. Before the tournament began, nearly every individual in the hall was provided with a free sample of SCP-XXXX. The event, which was streamed live on various social media platforms, came under the Foundation's radar immediately, when a large banner reading "Slim Slime: Now in three classic gaming colors" was detected in the background of the stream. The Foundation sent Mobile Task Force Gamma-Rho-Upsilon ("The Let's Players") to facilitate the removal of SCP-XXXX from the event before widespread use by the convention's attendees. As a follow up to The Playpen Incident, online sightings of any SCP-XXXX-1 instance were taken down, and an auditory amnestic agent was administered to the city of Boston and its neighboring towns via Foundation satellites.
