Item #: SCP-4285
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4285 must remain in a sealed container comprised of lead, at least one (1) inch thick, at all times. This container must remain submerged, in all directions, in salt water with a salinity of a minimum of thirty five (35) per thousand (1000). This salt water should be pumped at all times, as stagnation of the water compromises its ability to numb SCP-4285's senses.
Description: SCP-4285 is a parasitic entity, likely originating from the ███████ subterranean lake, Namibia. Analysis of larvae, eggs and expired specimens have proved inconclusive regarding the parasite's age or origin.
SCP-4285 enters the host's body in its' larval stage, via fresh water. Testing has shown that any orifice will prove equally effective as a point of entry. Upon entering the host's body, the parasite makes its' way to the host's brainstem, burrowing and fusing with the brainstem just below the cerebellum. Although this grants immediate control of the host, SCP-4285 will usually feed on non-essential tissue for growth, only establishing full control once the host is asleep.
